Used on all PS Series powered subwoofers, Infinity's patented MMD (Metal Matrix Diaphragm) technology transducers deliver crystal-clear, distortion-free low frequencies, even at high listening levels. Unlike paper, polypropylene, or Kevlar cones found in competing speakers, MMD cones consist of an aluminum core anodized with a thin ceramic coating on both sides for increased strength and rigidity. This composite material produces extremely fast, extremely accurate transducers, resulting in a distinctly cleaner, more realistic sound.
