A powerful collection of speakers, the Polk TL250 Blackstone series home theatre system gives you all the major parts you need to get your home audio system off the ground. Four TL2 bookshelf/sattelite speakers surround you with sound, while the TL2 center channel speaker grounds your audio thanks to unique Time Lens technology and a curved enclosure design. Classical home theatre elements

The Polk TL250 has the five elements that you'll find in pretty much all home surround systems: left front, right front, center, left surround, and right surround. With engineering grounded in sound principles, these speakers will fire up your home theatre system and provide incredible sound that can be simultaneously airy and wafting, or it can wash over you like the tide. So, while sound quality can have an almost aetherial quality to it, the Blackstone line of speakers from Polk provide well-balanced sound.

More than just techno-babble

If terminology such as â€œTime Lens technology,â€� â€œacoustic center,â€� and â€œspatial plane alignmentâ€� make you wonder if youâ€™re buying speakers or the first time-traveling sound sytem, you can rest assured that itâ€™s the former. Polkâ€™s Time Lens technology aligns the tweeter and mid-bass drivers along their acoustic center on the same spatial plane to create a more unified sound, allowing you to identify where sounds are coming from more easily. Meanwhile, the grille lens smoothes out the tweeterâ€™s frequency response, creating a more balanced, natural sound uncommon in compact speakers.

Neutral territory

Sound likes to bounce. No, we donâ€™t mean that it enjoys jumping up and down to a rhythmic beat — we mean it moves off every surface it hits. Much like the actual bouncing though, if you get enough sound bouncing in the same space, it can crash into itself causing nothing but heartache and acoustic loss. While Polk canâ€™t control what happens once the sound leaves the speaker and enters your room, it can control whatâ€™s happening inside the speaker to make sure that the sound bouncing around your room hasnâ€™t already had some crashes inside. To make sure that you get acoustically neutral sound, Polk employs a Curved Enclosure design, using non-parallel surfaces that create a stronger, more rigid enclosure that wonâ€™t cause sound coloration. Combined with the Dynamic Balance driver technology, it also tunes out any unwanted sound by controlling the driverâ€™s frequency response. The result is a rich, warm sound, ready to bounce straight into your eardrums (without causing any damage on the way).

Comfortable sitting down, or hanging out

Itâ€™s great to have options, especially when it comes to getting your speakers positioned. The Polk TL2 speakers have built-in keyhole slots and threaded inserts, so they can easily be positioned on-wall for a sleek looking installation. Of course, if you just want them on shelves, their feet allow them to sit comfortably as well.
