Included with this monitor is a single cable carrying the signature Mac MagSafe power cord, a USB v2.0 port, and a Mini DisplayPort connection. This easily allows the two to be linked without a mess of cables. Aesthetically, the two are matching as well. Both feature black around the screen while the rest is aluminum. Finally, this monitor, unlike most, features the Mac-exclusive iSight camera and microphone, as well as a 2.1-channel speaker set. With so much in common, it's safe to say that this is one pair that's meant to be together.

Convenience isn't the only reason the 24" LED monitor is a great complement to your MacBook, though. The monitor's picture is nothing short of breathtaking. The 24" (diagonal) is and LED-backlit, TFT LCD screen. The LED lighting produces 330 candelas per square meter. There is an impressive contrast ratio of 1000:1. The LED monitor has a viewing angle of 178 degrees both horizontally and vertically, and is capable of producing up to 16.7 million different colors. Finally, the 24" screen has a maximum pixel resolution of 1920 x 1200, although it's also compatible with 1280 x 800 and 1024 x 640 pixels.

The Apple LED monitor does a lot to take care of mother nature. It's ENERGY STAR certified, and it has earned an EPEAT gold rating. In its energy saver mode, it uses a mere one Watt of electricity. It has a highly-recyclable aluminum and glass enclosure. It's mercury-free with arsenic-free glass and it also doesn't have any brominated fire retardants or polyvinyl chloride.
