Flying wings have hit the neighborhood parks with a vengence and with good reason. They fly well, they are tough and they will put a huge smile on your face. Designed for the intermediate to advanced pilot the Great Planes Slinger assembles quickly and easily. The center section holds the motor, battery, speed control and receiver all nicely concealed by the removable canopy. Changing the battery is a snap, just remove the canopy, slide the discharged battery out and slip in a freshly charged one. One, two, three and you are back in the air again.
So Special
The design of the Great Planes Slinger puts it way above all the other flying wings on the market. Some of the things that set it apart from the competition is the precut servo wells in the wing, they are sized to fit most mini-sized servos (the Hitec HS-81J's fit like a dream), the heat shrink covering, it makes it look so sweet, and the finally, the ABS center section with the removable canopy for your battery and radio gear. Few flying wings on the market can match the design and flight characteristics of the Slinger.
Easy To Launch
Most flying wings are awkward to launch and it usually takes two people to get them up in the air, one to throw the wing holding it by the leading edge and heaving it over their head and the other at the controls. Not so with the Slinger, it has a center section keel which extends beneath the plane giving you something to hold on to when you launch. The best part is, you can launch it yourself and your flying schedule isn't dependent on finding someone to help you get the wing in the air. The keel also acts as a landing skid, protecting your Slinger when it's time to once again kiss the earth.
Not For The Faint Of Heart
At full throttle this wing covers a lot of ground in a short period of time. Be sure to fly in an area that gives you plenty of room because you are going to need it. One can always throttle back and have a relaxing outing with their Slinger, but why? It was born to run fast and that is part of the thrill of owning a thoroughbred like the Slinger. If you fly radio controlled airplanes and have not added a Great Planes Slinger to your hanger, you are missing out on tons of park flyer fun.
Tough As Nails
The Slinger is constructed of expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam with an expanded polypropylene (EPP) leading edge. The foam construction and the heat shrink film makes the Slinger one tough little bird. It will take the bumps and bonks and the occasional cartwheel landing in stride, giving you more flying time and less rebuilding time. Durable, exceptionally good looking and a super flyer, not to many planes can boast that combination.
