| Whirlpool likes to think they solved two problems with one product when they created this pedestal. They lifted the laundry machines off the ground to make loading and unloading easier for taller people, but they also provided a convenient place to stash laundry items when not in use. The WHP1500SA provides roughly 7 cubic feet of space in a slide-out drawer for you to keep your detergent, bleach, fabric softener, dryer sheets, and any other laundry essentials you want to keep out of sight. You could even work it out to temporarily store clothes there while they're waiting to be moved somewhere else. After all, it has approximately the same capacity as the dryer. It doesn't matter whether you fill your pedestals with laundry supplies, use them to store clothes, or leave them empty. That's not the point. The point is that you have that choice. |
