| Different countries have different electric power supply standards. Keep in mind that although the AC5 adapter plugs will allow you to connect to most foreign power outlets, the voltage supplied from the outlet may not be the same as the US standard 120 volts. Before you plug in your electronic device, find out what the voltage is where you are. The AC5 plugs do not convert voltages, say from 240 down to 120. You may need a voltage converter, in addition to an adapter plug, depending on where you travel. If your notebook computer is expecting 120 volts and you give it 240, you'll probably end up with a very expensive paperweight. |
