Let me start out by saying that I am a conniseur of good music and great sound. These Bose Companion 2 Series IIs do not disappoint in the niche that they fill. These speakers accentuate and detail all of the band instuments with a clarity that amazes you. Vocals are incredible also and the absence of a subwoofer is only a minor inconvenience because the bass is still present minus the punch and physical rumblings that a subwoofer deploys. I highly recommend these for a pc user that demands quality sound but also for the pc user that remembers that these speakers were not made to blow out the walls and irritate the neighbors. So if you can keep these speakers performance within their proper niche, I am certain that they will be enjoyed immensely for many, many years............

I bought these speakers for a TV that had a frame vibration on the built in speakers. Bose speakers have always impressed me and for a low cost these speakers deliver superb quality sound.

Great set of speakers for my computer that I bought to replace a set of Klipschs I had that had electrical issues. Theyre definitely worth a $100. The value to price ratio is great, and the amount of sound range, quality, depth, and volume is awesome for their size and the fact that theyre just two speakers. I would recommend this set of speakers, but I know the next set up of Bose computer speakers has to have ever better sound, and theyre only like $40 more with a full range subwoofer. In retrospect I should have bought those, but Im very happy with these. For a bedroom set of speakers to listen to music from my computer and my turntable theyre awesome. The double RCA inputs on the back are great for being able to hook up more than one audio source. Im planning on buying a receiver and a great set of floor-standing speakers though. Im sure these will work great when I move them to my Airport Express to stream music throughout the place. Worth buying if two great computer speakers is all you want or need, definitely.

Prompt response from Vanns. Received the package within 4 days.
The speakers sound very good for the price range. Very crisp sound. The very low frequency bass is sometimes not heard for some songs. But thats understandable since it does not have a subwoofer.
I was initially hearing some distortion coming from the speakers at high volume. But the problem went away when i changed my software from Windows Media player to Winamp.
Thanks Vanns!

I bought a pair of Bose Companion 2 Series II multimedia speakers because the speaker in my HP desktop monitor were horrible for auditioning albums to load into my Itunes library. The Bose speakers do a nice job, better than any computer-companion speakers I've ever had. They make previewing Itunes albums -- and playing CDs through my computer -- a real treat.

Ive owned these speakers for a couple months now and I really like them. Compared to the competition I think they sound much better and have a higher quality build. I also have the klipsch igrooves which are pretty much identical to these, and I use those for TV speakers and these for my computer audio because they sound a little more natural and open. Im somewhat of an audiophile and usually lean towards British speakers, so Im not a big fan of bose, but these sound pretty good for a hundred bucks
