A Flash With Bright Ideas |

| This EOS System flash combines compact size and affordability with an added dose of features and sophistication. Improving on the previous model, the Speedlite 420EX, the 430EX can now be set into manual flash mode (full power approx. 1/64). Flash compensation can be set on the flash unit, and manual control of the flash zoom head is now possible. Improvements in its circuitry make recycle time 40 percent faster, and since it is compatible with Canon's wireless E-TTL, it can be used as an affordable "slave unit." |

| The Speedlite 430EX offers convenient control with an LCD panel on the rear of the flash. Wide-angle pull-down covers a 14mm lens on a full-frame camera, and white balance info is communicated instantly to compatible digital SLRs. You can bounce the flash upward to 90 degrees, and it also swivels right to 90 degrees and left to 180 degrees. This powerful flash unit is 14 percent lighter and approximately 25 percent smaller in overall volume than Canon's top-of-the line 580EX. Six flash custom functions are built into the Speedlite 430EX and can be set on LCD panel. |

Compatibility and Speed |

| The Speedlite 430EX fits all Canon EOS cameras, and the PowerShot Pro1, G6, G5, G3 and G2 cameras. You'll get approximately 200 to 1400 flashes with AA-size Alkaline batteries manufactured within the last three months or AA-size Ni-MH fully charged batteries. Recycling time is about 0.1 to 3.7 seconds with Alkaline batteries or 0.1 to 2 seconds with Ni-MH batteries. |
