The Harmon Kardon 3650 receiver and IPod Bridge are wonderful. They work seemlessly and the Harmon Kardon receiver is very musical with just enough features. It is so much easier to use than my Denon. However my experience with Vanns was horrible. They shipped the wrong IPod bridge for the receiver I purchased and when I returned it they charged me a restocking fee and could not exchange it for the correct bridge because they no longer carried it. I would not recommend Vanns to anyone. I received much better service from Crutchfields which is where I bought two more Harmon Kardon 3650 receivers.

The Bridge is a super idea, was easy to install and operate. It is however extremely limited in functionality. If the user has more than a very few songs, artists or even genres, then only the operation mode of random songs is practical. To select a specific song, artist or genre the interface only allows the user to scroll one at a time from the top to the elected item, really, there is no way to skip to the Ls, for example. Had I known about this limitation, I would have probably gone a different direction in playing my iPod songs on my AVR.

I took a leap of faith and bought The Bridge II to go with my Harman Kardon 3490 stereo receiver in the hope it would function correctly with my iPod Touch 4G, the latest generation as of April 2011, and I can say for a fact it does work. It charges the iPod, and the HK remote operates all the iPods functions.
The only odd thing, that doesnt bother me but maybe someone reading this wont like it, is that during playback the name of the selected song, album and artist scrolls across the receivers display, and I noticed that when a short song title scrolls across the display, part of the album title is added onto the song title. For example when I play the song Broadway Hotel from the album Year of the Cat, the receiver displays the song as Broadway Hotelt. The t from Year of the Cat is added to the end. I consider it just a harmless software glitch with the iPod or Harman Kardon receiver. No big deal.
All and all, I like The Bridge II, and recommend it for the convenience and great sound quality. It sure beats plugging the iPod into the receivers RCA jacks.

I am a huge fan of all things Harman Kardon and have been for over 25 years. I added The Bridge II iPod Docking Station to my HK 3490 audio receiver in order to maximize its capabilities with my 64-gig iPod Touch. I was not disappointed - the dock works perfectly and just as advertised.
The setup process took about 5 minutes and I now have playlists, track names, artists, and album information that scrolls effortlessly through my receivers display with the iPod Touch music being controllable through the HK 3490s remote when docked. This is a great add on!

This is an exellent product. It is easy to connect & to use. My wife, who is electronically challenged, loves to show off how she plays her nano with ease.
