Your Sony HomeShare system is all set up; you've got speakers strategically located throughout your house to play your favorite music from your favorite sources wirelessly. Now you need an easy, intuitive way to control it. And it would be great if you could use it to control your other stuff, too, so you only had to push one button to watch a movie or catch up on your local news. The RMN-U1 lets you do just that. First, wirelessly listen to music throughout your home using your existing Wi-Fi network. You can control the track you're listening to and the volume. Then you can use the on-remote guided setup to tell the remote what other components you have in your home theater system. The RMN-U1 will also automatically detect compatible DLNA enabled devices on your home network. They'll appear in the menu for quick operation. Send music, videos, and/or photos to these devices using the remote. To make using your entire home theater a simple process, set the RMN-U1 to walk through powering up and switching inputs for specific activities. For example, if you wanted to watch a movie, set up "watch movies" in the remote, and, using on-remote guided setup, tell it which components to turn on and which inputs to select.
