A coin-shaped, rechargeable lithium battery powers the glasses, and as long as you're within 10'5" from your 3DTV, and you stay within 35° horizontal and 20° vertical of the front surface, you'll get the full HD 3D experience. The starter kit includes the battery and a USB charger to keep your glasses ready to run.
