Take control!
Sure, you were stoked when you purchased that receiver with multi-zone capabilities. You couldn't wait to pump sound into every room in your home. But now, you're bummed about the limitations of being stuck with only one volume control. Well worry no more, with Niles' VCS100R high-power stereo volume control system, you can put the power of the volume in the hands of your housemates. Plus, the high-performance engineering provides 100W of power handling (200 peak) along with impedance protection for your amplifier by magnifying by 1X, 2X, 4X, and 8X, which means you won't need to add any other impedance-matching devices.
The perfect match
Made specifically to work with speaker distribution hubs, amplifiers, or speaker switches, the VCS100R volume control completes the circuit by allowing for full volume control at room/speaker level. Simple to set up, you'll love the results: less wiring, increased convenience. It's a win-win situation.

Little pricey.. but as they say you get what you pay for. Funny that the only tool you need to actually put the wires already stripped properly is your finger nail. The 2 wire banks 1 ampsource, 1 speakersdestination have 4 slots each total of 8 slots, each slot has a little lever you pull open, it locks in the open position, insert the wire and push the lever back, it snaps back thus pinching the wire and establishing connection.
Just a side note, I wouldnt recommend anything more than 16AWG, the slots where the wires go are about 16AWG big, dont think you could get a 14AWG in there cleanly.
This is NICE. Comes with 2 face-plates, so you can pick what look you want. Unit is pretty heavy, which usually means well built! No popping or anything goofy, nice clean volume control. Another thing I like is it automatically adjusts for impedance matching, so no jumper settings.
I used a single gang low voltage bracket to mount this with. You could probably use a normal blue elec re-modelers box but I imagine it would be a tight fit.
THIS IS NOT INTENDED FOR EXTERIOROUTSIDE INSTALLS. THIS IS RATED FOR INTERIOR INSTALLS ONLY!!!
FYI It is a tight fit in a standard blue elec remodelers box. You will need to put 2 wires source in one hole, and 2 wires to speakers in another. I recommend using a low voltage mounting bracket if possible.
