I can see clearly now, the plain is gone!
Tired of trying to tell if your casserole's cooked to no avail? A traditional range will feature a black interior with a window scarcely larger than a CD. This makes it hard to determine if your cake is done without opening the oven, letting the heat out, sliding the rack out and back in, all without dumping your birthday surprise! The LG LRE30453ST has a better solution. With its Wideview window and bright blue interior, your range is given a stylish solution to your woes. The Wideview window breaks up the monotony of a solid door panel, and gives you a full view of the interior. The blue, on the other hand, adds a professional touch, and at the same time, brightens up the interior, reflecting more of the light from the incandescent oven bulb to make it easier to tell if your dinner's done.
Get ready to host
In years past, you've been reluctant to offer to host meals for large gatherings of family or friends. It wasn't so much the case that you were lacking in interest or enthusiasm. The fact is, you were short on oven space. With the LRE30453ST, however, you've suddenly got a spacious studio for creating culinary masterpieces. This LG range's 5.6 cu. ft. oven capacity is, most humbly, colossal. Serving eight? Ten? Twelve? You won't even break a sweat. Tackle behemoth lasagnas, roasts of beef fillet, whole salmon, holiday birds. Toss in your baking stone and turn out large pizzas and french breads. Put on your hot mitts, it's time to bake.
Nice touch
One of the innovative features of the LRE30453ST is the use of IntuiTouch electronic touch controls. Rather than use knobs like on most conventional ovens, this model features electronic buttons (complete with LED power displays), which are much easier to clean than traditional knobs. Aside from being more convenient, the electronic controls are easy to use and quite attractive, too.
So what?
The LRE30453 features convection cooking. But what's so much better about convection cooking than traditional cooking? Well, imagine you're cooking three cakes in the oven. The cake on the bottom heats up first. When you take it out, it's burnt. The cake on the top rack turns out pretty well, a little dry and crispy, but edible. The cake from the middle rack comes out of the oven. You cut into it, and your knife easily slides through the batter you put in the oven. Without an extensive rotation set, this is the scenario with a tradition heating-element-only oven. With a convection oven, though, heated air passes through a fan. This fan keeps the air circulating in the oven, thus cooking your food much more evenly. The other benefit of convection heating is that it will finish cooking your food faster, at a lower temperature than a conventional oven. This particular model features the EvenJet Advanced Convection System, which uses an S-shaped fan for even more even heating.
Smooth as butter
The design of the cooktop on the LRE30453ST is anything but impractical. For starters, it's a smoothtop, so it's more convenient to use and heats your pots and pans more evenly. The burner design and layout is another topic of interest. There are five burners in total. On both sides of the rear of the cooktop, there is a six-inch, 1200-Watt burner for standard heating. In the center rear is a seven-inch, 100-Watt warming zone (since the broccoli doesn't always finish at the same time as the tortellini). Up front, there is a little more variety in the burners, because all dishes are not created equal. The front left burner does double duty, producing a total 2500 Watts of power from a nine-inch burner, but the outside ring can be turned off, leaving a six-inch, 1200-Watt burner. This matches the back burner to give you more even heating on long pans or griddles, which is perfect for things like pancakes, bacon, or grilled cheese. Finally, for some real cooking power, the front right burner is a twelve-inch diameter element putting out 2700 Watts. That'll bring your water to a boil quickly.
Built to last
The LG LRE30453ST is built to last a long, and LG's willing to back that up. So on this model, they included a 1-year parts and labor warranty on the entire appliance when it's serviced in-home. But they didn't stop there. The ceramic cooktop and radiant elements are guaranteed for a full five years. If you're still worried about the safety of your precious appliance, consider extended warranty. Vann's offers some of the best extended warranties in the nation at some of the best prices.
