With the ultra-efficient design of the Duet Sport® WFW8300SW, you'll use 60% less water and 67% less energy compared to traditional top-loading washers. Part of that is due to the automatic water level control feature. Built-in sensors regulate the amount of water used to match the size of the load so that only the absolute minimum water needed is used, saving up to 23 gallons of water per load. The WFW8300SW is ENERGY STAR qualified, which means you are guaranteed an energy efficient machine.
Clean At The Molecular Level
The Deep Clean System is a feature that uses an Anti-Escape valve to ensure the maximum concentration of detergent is used in the wash cycle, and the Care Control System, which keeps water warm enough to dissolve detergents for optimal cleaning and cool enough to help protect fabrics from shrinking and bleeding. You'll get the most out of the Direct-Inject Wash System. Prior to the wash cycle, liquid or powdered detergent is mixed with a small amount of water and directly injected as a concentrated cleaning lather into dry fabrics. As the clothes spin, a sensor ensures that the lather penetrates each fiber to remove even the toughest stains. Once all the clothes have been saturated, the spinning stops and the wash cycle starts. And when the washer is done sensing and measuring and the washing starts; you'll barely hear it, thanks to the Quiet Wash sound package that reduces operating noise.

The WFW8300SW comes with a wide array of washing options. There are seven factory preset cycles including delicate, heavy duty, normal/casual, quick wash, and whitest whites. The quick wash cycle handles lightly soiled loads in just 28 minutes with higher spin speeds for faster drying. You also have the option to clean the stainless steel drum of detergent buildup and odor with the clean washer cycle. Select from three temperature options to best suit your fabrics. Decide whether or not to utilize an extra spin cycle. Adjust the water level. The options cover almost every fabric washing requirement. You determine what your laundry needs are and use the washer's various settings to meet those needs. Want to set it, but not run it until later? No problem, just use the delay wash option. Your washer, your rules.

Whirlpool's Duet Sport washer can be set up in various configurations. Buy the matching dryer (model number WED8300SW) and stack the pair vertically. Opt for the 10-inch storage pedestal (sold separately) to lift the unit to a higher level so less bending is required to load and unload. Choose the 15.5-inch storage pedestal (also sold separately) to increase height from the floor and give you a shelf and storage drawers for full size bottles and boxes. This front-loading unit is easy to use in any of these configurations. The innovative suspension system features "shock absorbers" that cushion the motion of the tub and inner drum, reducing vibration and noise so that an upper floor installation is possible. Plus the door features a child lockout and a window. You could watch your clothes spin right 'round, baby, right 'round (as the 80's band Dead or Alive might say) all day long if you wanted.
