Sometimes the splitting glass opera singer volume isn't what you want first thing in the morning. Take control of your music's dynamics from near or far. The included remote control not only adjusts the SoundDock® Portable system's volume, but also controls basic iPod functions — including playlist navigation — from almost anywhere in the room. Volume control buttons are inconspicuously placed on the side of the system, letting you adjust your music's volume even if the remote is not readily available. Ramping volume feature automatically turns the volume up gradually when it's first turned on. So pick up your conducting baton, or remote control, and call forth those early morning pianissimos.

Portability made easy
