Dynamic DVD Player
The DVD player included with the DTX5000 provides loads of functionality. Faroudja DCDi processing makes the most of video sources. The DVS5770 plays DVD-Audio and Super Audio CDs, so you can take advantage of these high definition audio formats. It also plays DVD-Video, CD, SVCD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R, and DVD-RW discs. The player is compatible with MP3 files, and you can also view JPEG files saved on disc. This progressive scan player also features 192kHz/24-bit Audio D/A conversion, so you're sure to get the best reproduction from all sources.
Receiver of Respect
The HTR5750 (receiver included with the DTX5000) is a full-featured home theater receiver ready for all formats. Major features include 6-channel discrete amplification (105W x 6), Yamaha's Digital ToP-ART (Total Purity Audio Reproduction Technology) design concept, Quad-Field CIMEMA DSP, 29 surround programs, SILENT CINEMA, and a preset remote control. It delivers high power to six channels and provides DTS ES Discrete 6.1, Neo:6 and DTS ES Matrix 6.1 decoding as well as Dolby Digital EX and Dolby Pro Logic II decoding. Yamaha's exclusive YSS-948 32-bit ASC LSI's provides circuitry that performs decoding with extreme accuracy. The HTR5750's vitally important digital-to-analog converters use an extremely high performance 96kHz/24-bit operation type. They perform accurate sound field reproduction for high quality multichannel sources, and for two-channel stereo, provide outstanding separation and precise musical delineation.
Receiver Inputs and Outputs
With four digital inputs (3 optical and 1 coaxial), the HTR5750 can accommodate digital sources such as DVD, CD, MC/CDR, and D-TV/CBL. One optical digital output assures the finest possible signal leaving the receiver for your other components. The receiver incorporates two component video inputs, providing outstanding video connections. You also get 3 S-video inputs and 1 outputs. In addition to the wide range of inputs and outputs, the HTR5750 also includes an S-Video up-conversion circuit (Composite <-> S-Video) as well as a set of front panel A/V inputs for simple temporary connection.
Voice Matched Speaker System
The DTX5000's speaker system is sure to get your attention. It includes two main speakers, three surround speakers, one center channel speaker, and a powered subwoofer. The high power 130 watt advanced YST subwoofer features QD bass technology and has a frequency response of 28Hz to 200Hz. It has an eight-inch driver. The rest of the speaker feature four woofers and cover a frequency range of 90Hz to 50kHz. The front, center, and surround speakers are magnetically shielded.
