The belle of your kitchen
When you hear the word "beauty" it's not usually images of refrigerators that fill your head. But the LFX25961AL is one pretty fridge. It has an aluminum finish on the front rare enough to be eye-catching, but not so wild it's considered eccentric. This model's front is especially great because it looks almost like stainless steel, but doesn't collect fingerprints like steel does. And, beneath the aluminum finish is magnetic metal so you can still hang your kid's finger paintings. The hidden hinges and contoured design add to the trim appearance. The LFX25961 is also a French door design, which is a very visually stimulating arrangement, particularly in kitchens with split cabinetry. Finally, the sophisticated water dispenser adds a level of class to this refrigerator that allows it to blend seamlessly and elegantly into nearly any modern kitchen.
Storage a-plenty
When purchasing a refrigerator, it's important to consider the amount of food you'll be storing. If you only plan on storing a couple plates of leftovers, a fridge in the 15 cu. ft. range might be your best bet. If you need a little more space, stepping up the low 20 cu. ft. range is probably the right idea. But if you need to store a lot of food, you need the LFX25961AL. This model has enough space to store all your food without making you waste money cooling empty space.
Innovative interior
Having a large capacity doesn't mean much if that storage space is inconvenient or inflexible. The LFX25961 has four split, cantilevered shelves. All the shelves slide out, and they are made of tempered glass, and are Spill Protector style, so if you knock over a glass of milk on the top shelf, the food below isn't ruined, and the mess is minimized. Each is also height-adjustable or even removable. There are two half-width humidity-control crispers for your fruits and veggies. Additionally, there is a full-width Glide N' Serve deli drawer for items like cheese and lunch meat. Finally, the crisper tops double as another full-width glass shelf. For door storage, even with the large dispenser, there are four shelves, two of which are gallon-sized and adjustable. There is also a dairy corner for products like butter. With storage like this, making space for a dish is no problem!
Very cool
The freezer of the LFX25961 was given just as much creative thought as the refrigerator. The lower basket is a DuraBase solid drawer base with a divider used for storing foods for longer periods of time. There is also a tilting wire basket for storing frozen foods that won't be in the freezer long. This freezer uses IcePlus to pump out enough cold cubes to keep the party cool all night long. CustomCube also lets you adjust the size of your ice cubes. There is also an ice bin to store all your freshly cooled cubes before use. Finally, a 60W light bulb keeps it all in plain view. Now that's cool!
Features galore!
On the performance end of the spectrum, the LFX25961AL doesn't disappoint. The unheralded features of this refrigerator are extraordinary! For example, digital temperature controls, five digital temperature sensors, and multi-air flow cooling work together to give you some of the most advanced food preservation available. The LoDecibel operation keeps this powerful appliance from intruding on your everyday conversation. A door alarm lets you know if the door didn't quite shut all the way, potentially saving you hundreds of dollars in ruined foods. An external dispenser keeps cold, filtered water and ice at your disposal all the time. Lastly, external electronic controls with a digital viewscreen put the power in your hands.

A wonderful fridge. It has all of the features we were looking for. Lots of room with movable shelves. The adjustable temperature is digital which I like. The freezer on the bottom has lots of room and is able to be configured to your choices. The only draw back is that the ice and water dispenser is a little small. It fits normal glasses but not our larger ones. A minor complaint. However, it looks great and has so many good qualities that i would recommend it to all.

When our Kenmore Trio refrigerator gave up the ghost we decided to replace it instead of repairing it because it has never functioned properly. We researched at least five different models and brands before we settled on LG. We looked at models ranging from $1,200 to $3,200 and we found LG is a good quality, affordable option.
The interior layout is much better than most ice-in-the-door models. On the LG it only takes up what would be space for door shelves without taking up refrigerator shelf space like most other models. You still sacrifice some space but the convenience of ice and water on the door more than makes up for the small loss of shelf space.
The shelves themselves are well designed, easy to install or move and to clean. The door shelves are ample for the needs of three people in the house. The freezer slides in and out effortlessly and offers plenty of space. The additional freezer basket lets you store more items without having them get lost in the bottom of the freezer.
We got the black model because we were tired of the hassles of keeping stainless steel clean. This surface is every bit as attractive and extremely easy to clean.
The only glitch was a small drip from a connector tube each time I drew water but that seems to have stopped when I pressed the two connectors together. I am keeping an eye on it and if it continues I will have to get a warranty service call. Otherwise we are very happy with the model.
The best thing about this is that by buying it from Vanns we saved close to $700 from the best price we got locally. Our local Home Depot has a price matching policy but they declined to match the price we got from Vanns. When we ordered, it was at our home in about a week. We have an outside refrigerator so this was not an inconvenience but with the $700 saved we would put up with it even if we needed it right away.

I bought this design mainly because of the small space between it and the kitchen island, I bought this brand because all the research I did pointed to LG making the best refridgerators. I chose Vanns because they have the best prices by far. Even the shipping was cheap! though someone only brought it to my front door, because its on wheels it was easy to move it to where it needed to go.
The fridge itself works great, and has a very light bu noticeable beep when a door is left ajar for a long time.
I highly recommend the whole experience I had with this LG.
