| We absolutely love the Sharp 930. It combines the best features of both the microwave and the convection oven. As a powerful microwave it cooks fast and even. In the convection mode the food browns nicely and stays juicy. Best of all it is easy to program to function in combination microwave and convection - set it and leave it. We use it a lot instead of the oven. It does not heat up the kitchen and uses less electricity. And it holds a 9X13 pan. Cook a chicken or small turkey, prepare a casserol - or bake a cake. No problem. Several useful presets to reheat a plate of leftovers, bake a potato, or pop a bag of popcorn. Great appliance. |

| Our oven was purchased six and a half years ago, I have read negative reviews of this oven on other websites, but wonder if those folks had managed to buy a lemon, or had abused their unit. Our oven worked perfectly until last week. The gauge that regulates the shutoff for preheating has gone out, and it keeps getting hotter. As it stands, the microwave still works perfectly, but oh, do I ever miss the convection for all the same reasons in the above review. Im tempted to take it in for repair, even knowing that time must be up on the ol girl. In a perfect world the microwave and convection would blow on the same day. If I could squeeze another year or two out of the oven, I would be very happy indeed. |

| We purchased our last 930 in 1988 and it still works with the exception that the microwave takes a little longer than new ones. We ordered a new one with a stainless steel exterior and will give our old one to our son. I use the oven on my convection sharp microwave more than my regular oven. It has a tall rack and short rack and you can piggy back them and use two round baking trays. Very nice when you are making cookies and can use your regular oven as well. Cookies, cakes, etc come out nicer in the convection oven. I love the microwaveconvection mix option. You can microwave and bake at the same time for quick but browned results. I also like the defrost feature where you choose what you are defrosting and it automatically chooses the time and level of defrost and prompts you when to turn or seperate the pieces. I looked at other convection microwaves but sharp has the biggest turntable, almost 16 inches and it has a bigger oven in comparison to others I looked at. I like the metal turntable in comparision to the glass I looked at. I too have seen negative reviews but the Sharp 930 is the workhorse of my kitchen! |
