We had this product installed last week. We used to have a down draft exhaust hood on a Jennair range which did not do the work of taking the fumes out when we were cooking steak. As part of our new kitchen, we purchased this Monogram hood. It is absolutely beautiful and it does the work however, at full speed the hood sounds as if you were next to a jet engine. Pretty loud! I dont know if this is the norm.
