Superior Cleaning Performance

The Jetclean II dishwasher has five wash cycles including Heavy, Normal, Light, Rinse Only and Insta Wash settings. The unit's ToughScrub™ Plus feature powers off dried-on, baked-on foods by adding heat and wash time to the cycle. The Active-Vent Dry System allows moisture to escape and air-drying to continue so it practically eliminates spots and extra hand-drying. This dishwasher also has a sanitize option that eliminates 99.9% of household bacteria that may be on dishes. An Auto Clean cycle adjusts cleaning cycle according to how clean or how dirty dishes are by using the Precision Clean™ sensor. As an added bonus, the Jetclean II has more active cleaning jets than any other brand to power away soil, and is equipped with an Extra Rinse option to improve final results in hard water situations. And a Finer Filtration system eliminates the need for prewashing dishes.

Ultra-Modern Design

Microprocessor controls with 12 touch pads provide convenient operation. The controls are engineered with angled touch pad for style and convenience, you can delay your wash start time from 1-9 hours, and a Control Lockout device prevents accidental changes or starts. A tall tub design provides large usable capacity with space for 14 place settings, and an automatic temperature control assures proper hot water temperatures to activate detergents. Three wash arms/five wash cycles power away soil on both racks, and provide thorough spray action above and below each rack. A stainless steel hard food disposer prevents food particles from redepositing on dishes, and the high-pressure, high-flow wash system provides more active cleaning action than any other brand.

Useful Washing Tips

Never wash stainless steel and silver flatware together in the dishwasher. The silver may cause the stainless steel to pit.

This model was part of a safety recall, information can be found at Maytags website. Beyond that I have been pretty dissatisfied with it. Long wash times, parts which break easily. It has had to be repaired several times. Overall it is unreliable and doesnt get dishes very clean.

I received a replacement Maytag dishwasher in the rinse aid recall, because they broke my control panel when installing the fix and couldnt get a new part.
I was happy to get a new one, since the first was seven years old. But I dont like the inner configuation of the new one. There arent enough slots for deeper dishes such as pasta dishes, cereal bowls, and bigger items. I find myself loading it helter-skelter to accommodate the sizes, and as a result I cant get as many dishes in it. I dont like the depth of it, either, because I have to bend down so far to shut the door. With a bad back, this is difficult for me. It cleans just fine, but I dont think, since I have to do loads more often, that its very energy-efficient. And why should a short wash take 81 minutes?
