I purchased the Asko XXL front-load laundry pair during the summer of 2008 to replace my hand-me-down top-load washer and dryer.
I have been very pleased overall. My husband is an engineer and works outside on construction sites daily. I have had no issues getting out stains out of his work pants, including large clumps of mud. I havent had to pre-treat any of the stains either.
We installed the washer ourselves and had a few issues with getting the washer level. The spin cycle is very strong and had a habit of getting unbalanced at times. But we finally got the leveling issue fixed and havent had any issues again.
I have washed large blankets, cloth diapers, everyday wear and sweaters in this machine. Nothing has been caught or snagged and clothes actually came out of the dryer soft. I really like the sanitize cycle option and have used that with my sons cloth diapers.
It uses very little water and its energy rating is incredibly low compared to top-load sets. Plus, the platinum finish is fun
