Less Water Saves Money And Energy

The Frigidaire® GLTF2940EB is built in a front load configuration, removing the need for an agitator. The clothes are gently rolled through the water rather than water being agitated, or forced, through the clothes. This allows for far less water consumption than a standard top-load washing configuration. This model is I.E.C. certified, but what does that mean? The International Electrotechnical Commission (I.E.C.) standard of capacity measurement is used for low-water, non-agitator based wash systems. As the number of high efficiency products in North America has increased, I.E.C. has become the standard for measuring High Efficiency machines.

You Are In Control

With 14 cycles available, you can customize your wash for colors, delicates, whites, hand washables, extra rinse, short wash and other options for your regular, special fabric and permanent press items. You also have the convenience of front console washer control! When your wash is finished, you will even be reminded by an on/off end-of-cycle chime. Four wash/rinse temperature combinations provide all the control you will need to match water temperatures to your garment fabric. The Electronic Control Panel combines the accuracy of an LED readout with the convenience of a cycle dial so you can dial in precisely the wash cycle you need. The Automatic Dispenser System dispenses laundry additives such as detergent, bleach and fabric softener at precisely the right time during the wash cycle for optimum cleaning results. Automatic Door Lock ensures the door will remain locked during operation. However, by pressing the start knob or pause/cancel button during the initial wash phase, the door can be opened and forgotten items can be added. Control Lock allows the control panel to be locked to prevent cycle settings from being changed or the machine from being stopped unintentionally.
