Cool off, anywhere
Winter's end and Summer's start bring both cause to rejoice, and cause to gripe. The good: sunny days, birds on leafy branches, and ice cream. The bad: bugs on windshields and the dense, inescapable heat. Sharp's CV-P10NC portable air conditioner can't help with the bugs, but it can help you turn your home into a temperate oasis. A powerful 10,000BTU cooling rating combines with a maximum 280CFM air-circulation capacity to deliver impressive cooling performance. While four Easy Roll casters make it easy to move the CV-P10NC to any room in your house, a four-way air-direction design lets you send cool air where you need it most. Further, automatic oscillating louvers dramatically improve air distribution. Go ahead, cool off a little.
Beyond cool
Depending on where you live, the heat of summer might be accompanied by a pesky imp . . . humidity. Set the Sharp CV-N10NC to "Dehumidify", and you'll be removing up to 60 pints of water from the air in your home every 24 hours. Additionally, you can use the CV-P10NC's Plasmacluster Technology to release positive and negative ions into the air inside your home, mimicking the properties of outdoor air. Further, if it isn't hot enough outside to warrant using the cooling function, you can set the CV-P10NC to "Fan" and simply circulate air around the room for a gentle cooling effect.
What doesn't have an LCD these days?
That's right. If you don't want to use the push-button controls on the CV-P10NC's front to control its operation, you can grab the included remote control to switch between modes from a distance. For advanced control and operation, the CV-P10NC's remote sports an LCD display, showing you the unit's current settings at a glance.
Hold the card catalog
We understand. Your old air conditioner was working just fine. But if you had to listen to its incessant droning, humming, and whirring for one more 90° day, you were liable to send it tumbling out the window. Not only does the Sharp CV-P10NC deliver advanced cooling, but its Library Quiet design operates at as low as 38dB . . . far quieter than most household appliances.

I spent weeks researching portable air conditioners because I wanted a quality product for what I was expecting to pay for a portable air conditioner $300-$700. I kept reading that they werent as efficient as window units, but with having only one window in my bedroom I didnt want to install another window unit. I was recommended a Sharp unit by someone who had already owned a portable unit for years and was happy with the performance. I purchased this exact unit from Vanns online store and Im so happy I did!
The price was reasonable for this type of product that cools, dehumidifies, and purifies the air. It is the quietest air conditioner Ive ever come across. It is much more quiet than my 8,000 Btu Fridgidaire window unit. As long as you have space, because this unit is quite large, it is definitely worth the money. I read that for portable air conditioners, if you purchase a 10,000 btu unit, you can expect it to perform like an 8,000 btu air conditioner, because the air ventilation through the hose is not as efficient as the ventilation with window units, but I disagree after owning this unit. This product functions much better than my 8,000 btu window unit. I live in a third floor apartment and my bedroom is 14 x 12 and this unit does a superior job by quickly cooling the space and keeping the space cool.
I have been running this air conditioner for 2 months now, and I havent had to drain any water from the unit. From what I have read, the unit will stop operating when it needs to be drained, but I havent experienced this, yet. I have had this unit running constantly with living on the third floor, but it does reuse the water it produces for the cooling process, so I assume this is why I havent had to drain the water.
This unit is portable with wheels, if you want to to purchase and install more than one plastic window piece that is needed for adapting the hose used for exhausting the air and water from the unit. I dont move it from room to room, but it is possible. I still highly recommend this air conditioner!
