Quiet as your desktop

Keeping your reading nights in mind, the AQS500 purrs as quiet as your personal desktop computer on low speed. While LED indicators display personal settings the AQS500's a change filter indicator lets you know when it's time to swap out filters (two filters are included). The sound level is similar to a regular cooling fan when it's on high, but the AQS500 is filtering the air at the same time.

This unit performs remarkably well in a large 25 foot by 25 foot room in cleaning the air within a one hour period on high Quick Clean mode. While the high mode is obviously going to be louder than the Normal or Quiet mode, it sounds no different than a regular cooling fan set to high. I personally see no real annoyance using the Quick Clean mode high because it does indeed really clear up the air within a large area within an hour, and it also cools the air within that area remarkably well at the same time.

I currently use one in my living room and one in my master bedroom initially setting them both to Quick Clean for an hour and afterwards setting them to Normal for the remainder of the day. The time when dust , smoking, cooking, pet dander, etc., are more active is of course, when youre family is up and about.. The Quiet feature is very, very quiet and I love the fact that you can set this mode for use throughout the night up to 8 hours, reverting back to the Normal mode for daytime activity.

While not advertised as a cooling fan per se, I personally think this is a most welcome feature and one that past air purifiers have not come through on.. I find I do not need my air conditioning nearly as much nor set as low in the hot, humid south.

They also perform very well for clearing cigarette smoke. I am a smoker and have been exceptionally pleased with its performane in this regard. I currently own two of these, one for the upstairs and one for the downstairs covering a total of 1500 square feet of living space. The one downstairs has cleaned the air quite well in an open-area living room, kitchen and dining space all by itself in the Quick Clean mode after one hour. Additionally, it seems to maintain that air quality in the Normal Mode afterwards. The other unit I have placed in my upstairs master bedroom approximately 17 x 17 foot, ,and it is more than adequate for both the bedroom and the adjoining master bath. If youre wondering what sort of area they will cover you are going to be pleasantly surprised.

They are easy to move around and the controls are clean, simple and straightforward. The product is performing as advertised, and I am going to order another one for the upstairs hallway, and area that even the air conditioner has not had much effect on.

I think anyone that has pets, is sensitive to dust, dislikes the lingering odors of cooking and litter boxes, and especially anyone who smokes or who has smokers in their home, would benefit very well from this product. It has certainly far exceeded the heavy clunky purifiers Ive used in the past that had neither a noticeable cleaning effect nor a cooling one, and were, in my opinion far more noisy and often more expensive with likewise costly replacement filters.

Its also Energy Star efficient and has an attractive slim design that can be easily positioned in a corner without being obtrusive. For me its been worth the investment, I love it.

It says that the Vonado has a Quiet Operation and Operates at near silent level. Well , it doesnt.

Hey! If you have allergies THIS is the air-filter that cleans out dust in large volumes easily. I love it. I get cheap filters that are 3-4 bucks each for every replacement about every month and it keeps cleaning out the dust easily. Not only that this product also helps to keep the air in my room consistent and allows me to use the Air Conditioning a little less.

Overall I love this filter because it has significantly helped with my allergies.

Basically get this air-filter if...
-you want a replacement filter air-filter that has cheap replacements
-need to clean out lots of dust
-dont mind loud fan sounds if setting it on high

Overall I love this product and am very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone who wants a air-filter that works. Best way to state it is that it moves tons of air to clean out lots of dust instead of barely works and cleans out air like my other filters.
