Nice little unit. Very accurate for the present state of the technology. The one thing that has driven me nuts since I've had it over a year is when I turn it off and stick it in my pocket the on button can easily be accidently pushed by bumping into something, turning the unit on, and when you pull it out to actually use it, the batteries are either dead or low and ready to go dead at any time.

Gets about 8 hours on alkaline AAA bateries 2 but only maybe 4 hours on nickle-metal hydride batteries.

Whoever designed this thing should have put a lock on the off position. I've taken to removing the batteries so they won't accidently be turned on and drain while in my pocket. Major pain in the butt.

Next time I buy one I'll make sure when I turn it off it stays off.

Other than that one negative it's a nice little unit.
