nuvi 265T's intuitive interface greets you with two simple questions: "Where to?" and "View Map?" Touch the color screen to easily look up addresses and services and get voice-prompted, turn-by-turn directions that speak street names to your destination. It comes preloaded with detailed City Navigator® NT street maps, over 6 million points of interest (POIs), 2-D or 3-D maps, and smooth screen redraw rates as you navigate. Its digital elevation maps show you shaded contours at higher zoom levels, giving you a big picture of the surrounding terrain. In addition, nuvi 265T accepts custom points of interest, such as school zones and safety cameras, and lets you set proximity alerts to warn you of upcoming POIs. With HotFix satellite prediction, nuvi calculates your position faster to get you there quicker.
Make hands-free calls
For hands-free calling, nuvi 265T integrates Bluetooth® wireless technology with a built-in microphone and speaker. Just pair it with your compatible Bluetooth phone and talk hands-free through the 265T while staying focused on the road. Simply dial numbers with nuvi's touchscreen keypad to make a call. To answer calls, just tap the screen and speak into its built-in microphone. Enjoy convenient one-touch dialing for contacts and points of interest.
Avoid traffic tie-ups
Steer clear of traffic with nuvi 265T's integrated FM traffic receiver. Receive alerts about traffic delays and road construction that lie ahead on your route. Next, simply touch nuvi's screen to view traffic details or detour around the problem area.
Take it with you
Like the rest of the nuvi 205-series, nuvi 265T sports a sleek, slim design and fits comfortably in your pocket or purse. Its rechargeable lithium-ion battery makes it convenient for navigation by car or foot. With its "Where Am I?" emergency locator, you always know your location. Simply tap the screen to get your exact latitude and longitude coordinates, the nearest address and intersection, and the closest hospitals, police stations, and fuel stations.
Go beyond navigation
Navigation is just the beginning. nuvi 265T includes many travel tools including JPEG picture viewer, world travel clock, automatic time zone transition, currency converter, unit converter, calculator, and more. With photo navigation, you can download Google® Panoramio&trade pictures via the Garmin Connect&trade Photos website and navigate to them. The 265T is compatible with optional enhanced MSN® Direct content (subscription and receiver required) and their free Garmin Garage where you can download animated vehicles that show your location on the map. It also comes with Garmin Lock&trade, an anti-theft feature. Enhance your travel experience with optional plug-in microSD&trade cards such as Garmin Travel Guides for detailed data on attractions.

I finally bought this model for my wife after months of her ripping me for not getting one for her. She uses it to get to and from her meetings w her community serivce group which meets in many different locations. I am satisfied that she will not get lost going or coming home from her various functions or outings w our daughters. The price is great and you cant beat the shipping offered by Vanns. We are very pleased w this particular Garmin model.

After searching high and low, talking to friends, I finally found Vanns, they had the product I wanted at the best price. Shipping was free and fast. A great buying experience. My Garmin was fast and ready to use right out of the box. Ive only had it a couple of weeks, but its really easy to use. If you are looking for your first GPS, this is the one to get!

The Garmin GPS nuvi 265T is an outstanding product for the price.
I would describe this as a personal travel assistant. It saves time, money, and frustration when traveling out of your local area. You can easily find a drug store, grocery store or gas station. The accuracy of the voice activated navigation feature gives you advance notice about making turns so you know what lane to stay in. This is very helpful in unfamilar areas.
The Garmin GPS nuvi 265T is a multi purpose tool. It gives phone numbers so you can call a restaurant or hotel and make reservations on the way.
The Garmin GPS is very accurate in displaying the estimated time of arrival.
This is perfect for students, professionals, travelers and retirees. The voice activated direction are so much easier and safer to use than than trying to drive in traffic and read written or printed directions. The navigation is very accurate.
This will also work in Europe. It comes with pre-loaded maps and you can select the language you wish to hear voice activatied directions in. My husband and I used a Garmin while in Europe last summer Im sure they work.
We love it. We consider it to be one of our best investments.
We would give it a 6 or 7 for value.

My husband got me this unit recently and I could not be happier! It is easy to set up and use and the best part is, no more maps! I suggest this to any navigation impaired girl such as myself.
