At first I was apprehensive about purchasing this HDTV because of some negative reviews however, after setting it up I can see that this is an awesome HDTV. The HD Over The Air OTA channels are flawless and the Samsung bluray player really shines with this Samsung HDTV. No noticable differences between other comparable 1080p units, which says a lot coming from this brilliant 720p one. I highly recommend this unit for those wanting to save a little yet gain a lot in HD performance.

The producct appears to be performing as expected, with one exception. Volume is much weaker than the other samsung flat panel tvs I own. I have five and can definetly tell the difference in the one I recently purchased ?

In response to the review mentioning the sound Ive had one almost identical to this for a while now, and its great. Couldnt figure out why the sound was sometimes great and sometimes oddly off. 5 watts in each of two speakers on a Samsung should sound great all the time. Found out, after learning more of the menu, that there are adjustments that help with things that have been converted from analog to digital, ambient room sound to which it seems to respond, as does the picture, and so forth. Although Id attached good computer speakers to the headphone jack which does sound quite good on all three of our Samsung TVs, though not at all necessary, the sound adjustment on the menu for auto volume -- I believe thats what its called -- makes a huge difference if it doesnt sound good due to factors that may vary from one placement to another. Give it a try. Those menu items can really fine tune the entire thing. As that reviewer implied, you really cant go wrong with this set. Recommended highly.

If youre in the market for a reasonably priced, mid-range TV with good picture quality from one of the best TV makers, you absolutely cant go wrong with this model. Sure there are cheaper 32 TVs out there but nothing beats the picture quality of a Samsung TV. On the other hand, this particular model has relatively weak speakers. Its not as much as the low sound volume that is the problem, its how it sounds like youre listening to an echo from a tin can. TV was mounted on our bedroom and it was really easy to install because of how light the TV is. Remote is great, easy to use. Kinda weird that every time you turn the TV on it has to make this short chime. But im sure you can turn it off somewhere from the menu. All in all, money well spent. I wouldnt necessarily use it as my main living room TV but its a good secondary TV thats all it is.
