In the last week I had it narrowed down between the SAMSUNG LN40A750, and the Sony Z series. Both are 120 HZ and 1080p. They both have the crispest of images.
Why did I go with the Samsung? A couple reasons.
PICTURE - The picture is sharp, even on analog channels. Digital channels look even better. The wideband fluorescent backlight delivers the promised color performance.
SOUND- I chose this model for the internal subwoofer and I was impressed with the surround sound. I dont want multiple speakers in my living room, and the Samsungs internal speakers work great and are amazing.
CABINET - The jet black bezel has a subtle tinge of red, and is accented with a clear rim. Its stunning.
It has a USB outlet allowing you to plug in and show a slideshow of you own photos, and install firmware updates.
Now that I got the TV it has some fun features that I am fond of. The Samsung TV comes with a built in program that has pre-stored photos, games, recipes right at your finger tips. The photos are amazing and fun to have on a slideshow when company comes over.
Setup time Very smooth. 30 minutes. Once the TV is turned on the screen will walk you through a series of easy questions regarding your environment. There is also a quick set up guide for anyone who needs further guidance
What extras do you need if you buy this TV?
1. HDMI cable
2. Power surge - this protects against lightening and also keeps an even flow of energy to your TV prolonging the bulbs life.
Nothing negative about this TV comes to mind, your purchase of this TV will make your house the spot for all fight nights, ball games, and any other event.

Just purchased the Samsung LN40A750 to replace a two year old Samsung LCD that was not 1080. It is hard to explain how much better this TV is, my wife was even amazed by the difference in the picture. We had people over, and they thought the picture was so realistic that is was scary to them. The HD photos that you can play from the Contents library, are incredible.
To think how far along TVs have come just in a couple of years, is amazing really.
You will not be disappointed in this TV, and of course as always, Vanns has the best price, shipping and service! |
