Two words you want to hear
It’s all about picture quality. With bells and whistles flooding your HDTV search with noise, it’s good to know there’s one that focuses on what is important to you: a great looking view for your favorite movies and television shows. Samsung’s 46C600 features a full 1920x1080p picture, giving you the full HD treatment. With 120Hz Auto Motion Plus, the action has never been clearer, inserting a black frame in between every frame, it gives your eye the ability to better track scenes that would otherwise pass in a blur. Finally, a wide-color enhancer gives this Samsung HDTV incredibly sharp color and contrast even at the extremes of the color spectrum. With so much emphasis on picture, it’s easy to picture it in your living room.
HDTV with a side of networking
Okay, maybe one bell or whistle isn’t bad, and when it’s something like Samsung’s AllShare technology that includes DLNA compatibility, you’ll be the one whistling at the options it opens up. By connecting your computer into your home network, you’ll be able to pull movies, music, or pictures you have stored on your DLNA compatible PC and display them on the best screen in the house. Plus, ConnectShare Movie capability lets you use the side USB port to view movies straight from a thumb drive or digital camera. If you want a little more PC in your HDTV, a PC input allows you to use the 46C600 as a monitor.
Efficient entertainment
The Samsung 46C600 isn’t just a star when it comes to displaying your entertainment. It’s also a star when it comes to energy — you guessed it, it’s ENERGY STAR rated. The 46C600 exceeds ENERGY STAR guidelines for HDTVs in its size, and is up to 30% more efficient than the standards require. Who knew such a responsible TV could be so fun?

After much research we settled on this model due to its excellent features and reasonable cost. We looked at many other 46 inch TVs which cost much more. We are very pleased with the excellent picture quality, sound, menu options for customization and ease of the remote control. Also, with this TV we are able to tune into more channels that werent available to us before. We also like the feature available through the Channel List which acts as a TV guide. We didnt realize how good HD viewing is! Its like being at the movies.

We bought this for my dad for christmas but we opened it up as soon as we got it so there were no surprizes on christmas. The shipping was pretty terrible the box came with holes torn in it. The TV had a small dent on the back side but seemed to be working fine. I called the customer service number though Vanns and Ryan the representitive was nothing short of awesome. The picture looks great on the TV and the motion plus software is cool too but it has to be customized otherwise it looks like brittish TV. We currently own the same TV but 40 so this decision was pretty simple for us. But for anyone who doesnt have a clue Samsung is a great brand and I think you really can see the difference between Samsung and lower brands.

I also performed a fierce research when deciding on a new TV, and although I had a higher budget at $797.98 this TV was hard to pass up. The 600 is basically the same 630 minus the apps, but in the 530s shell. Samsung was able to lower the price by offering a cheaper box and perhaps a slightly lower contrast ratio. Both of which are not deal breakers for me. I compared the 530 to the 630 at the showroom and I can say the image is better on the 600than the 530, and as good as the 630 only slightly dimmer. Whether this is actual or just the settings used at BB I honestly cant say. The 600 was so new there was none available on the floor for viewing. So it was a leap of faith, but Im very happy with the decision. Im watching the Avatar blu-ray on my PS3 right now and its sick. The advantage of 120Hz is really noticeable in the battle scene at the end vs my old 60Hz model. In addition, its slimer than most LCDs on the market not quite LED but slim none the less. I looked at LEDs also, but the bleeding of light on dark scenes in the corners is a deal breaker for me. Even those with local dimming have unifirmity issues. Ill consider LEDs once their issues and 3D technology finally catches up. Image quality is not great out of the box, but I used the calibration settings used on the 630 on CNET and the quality improved 10 fold. I have included the same here if you decide to go with this TV. Again, I cant vouch for its reliability. However, Ive watched more than 9hrs a day for 2 days and Im very, very happy with the TV. At this size, with these specifications, and at this price range it just cant be beat.
