Nineteen inch LCD TVs tend to have pictures that are not as bright as larger models. It is also hard to find flat panels of this size that are white.

The Sharp LC19-SB24UW fills the bill in both form factor and picture brightness. It has a beautiful slim shiny white bezel that looks great in our kitchen. The set has plenty of inputs on the back. When connected with an HDMI cable, the picture is excellent in standard definition and outstanding in Hi def. The sound is also good, considering the small speakers. There are plenty of adjustments that allow setting brightness and color to suite your taste. The set can also be wall mounted, with optional hardware.

Overall, this set is a very good value at under $400. The only downside is probably common to all LCD TVs, in that the screen darkens when viewed from some angles. Also, the stand does not tilt.
