Straight out of the box the Sony KDL-46HX850 had some issues. The sealed hardware packet only contained six screws when seven were required to assemble the stand. The plastic shell on the stand had a stress fracture on the back left corner where one of the arms is attached. The damage to the stand appears to be a flaw in design and with zero damage to the box not likely the result of improper Sh. With a lot of adjustment, the overall picture on the 46HX850 was quite good, similar to led lcd tvs in Its class. There is significant light bleed at all four corners when dark borders are displayed and when the leds backlights are set to high rows of led banks dance up and down the side edges. Leds have to be set to low output or cut off which begs the question, why pay additional money for flawed technology? The controls on the remote can be a real pain with option buttons located to close to direction controls. The front glass panel has very good non reflective qualities. Internet connection was simple and there is plenty of content.
