PROS
Easy to set up right out of the box. On-screen manual was an excellent aid, as this was my first LCD TV. Matte screen is especially important given that it is in a room that has lots of natural daylight. Also, allows room lights to be on in the evening without distracting reflections. Unsure at this time if I will use the 3D capability, but nice to have that possibility. Color and resolution are excellent and easy to connect with my home audio system.
CON
This a a major fault shared with all TVs, it seems. It is absolute nonsense that a state of the art TV does not come with an on-board tuner that covers all of the HD channels. I now have separate remotes for the TV, Audio System, DVR, and Cable Box. I do not understand why this last item cannot be built into the TV, as it is an HD television, but cannot connect to my cable provider for HD without an additional piece of equipment. Reminds me of the absurdity we went through with cell phones until a standard plug for the charger was adopted.
Overall, an excellent product, and I would recommend this to my friends.

Sony has outdone themselves again with this TV. It is an excellent looking machine and performs beyond my expectations. When combined with a PS3, the picture quality is vibrant and lifelike. There is little to no ghosting or artifacts and controller lag doesnt exist. While the menus could have been a little easire to navigate, I won't complain--setup was quick and easy--the set even found all of my local channels an put together a TV guide. I would highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for a mid-range HDTV with high gaming performance or motion capabilities. The package arrived fast and was undamaged. There was a tiny scuff on one of the mounting parts--put the panel covers that up. I now know what brand and from whom I will be getting all my TVs in the future!

I believe there are a number of very fine HD televisions on the market and the differences in picture quality once you tweak the factory adjustments are probably lost on me as they are on most people. So I bought this TV for some very practical reasons. First, it has a matte screen. That is important as the TV is wall mounted in a room with many windows and the relative lack of reflection is very important to me. It has become increasingly difficult to find even LCD HD TVs that still provide the matte screen, which was for many of us their main advantage over Plasma HD TVs. Second it got excellent reviews from experts, especially so in terms of its ability to handle motion. I watch a lot of sports and that is also very important to me and is one of the few picture qualities that I am sensitive to. Third, it was offered at an excellent price. Fourth, I have had good luck with Sony products. Fifth, I like the way it looks. Very simple and no bright logo that lights up when you turn it on. It does have one drawback--many of the inputs on the back of the cabinet are obscured by my wall mount. I could work around that by modifying the mount if necessary but since one HDMI input is available and I am running but one HDMI cable from my AV receiver that was not necessary. All in all I am very pleased with the TV and would highly recommend it. It does have an excellent picture and to my eye needed very minor and easy adjustments to get the picture the way I wanted it--reds and pinks were just a little too saturated for my taste when in the factory normal setting. 3D capability was not important to me but is a nice extra.

Amazing clarity on this gem! Every thing about it is great, with one exception.... Matte screen is not as Bright in daylight viewing. But sense I rarely watch in daytime... its a non issue for me!
