Playing the numbers game — Auto Motion Plus 120Hz&trade

Here's a little secret: television and film were not created equal. Film is shot at 24 frames per second. And just about every movie disc you can buy is encoded at that speed. But television programming runs at 30 frames per second, and most TVs conform to that standard. When you watch a DVD on your TV, fitting that 24-frame content onto a 30-frame screen isn't a seamless process. You can't divide 24 by 30 evenly so video engineers fill in the gaps by placing one frame on the screen three times and the next one after that two times, which can cause stutter and other visual artifacts. Alternatively, 120Hz image processing shows 120 frames per second, showing each film frame five times and each TV frame four times, allowing TVs to reproduce unconverted, evenly extrapolated 24 fps movie and 30 fps television programming. The LN52A750's Auto Motion Plus 120 Hz technology virtually eliminates any motion blur and creates smooth transitions between frames. The result is a clearer picture you have to see to believe.

We bought this TV about 4 months ago and it is great. Has great picture and quality. The viewing angles are much better than I thought they were going to be. The touch of color is really subtle. Weve played music put to a picture slide show from a thumb drive on the TV for a birthday party. Its simple and really cool. The only down falls weve had is that recently an internal circuit board failed and the TV wouldn’t turn on. Samsung sent out in-home repair and its good as new. The other down side is that the navigating wheel on the remote is not very responsive. We did a great deal of research before we bought and basically its a great TV. Id buy it again..

I purchased the Samsung ln52A750 television and love it, I have an earlier version 1 year old of the same modelsize and loved it so much I decided to get another for the family room, WOW what a difference a year makes, the improvements are fantastic, HD is clear and the processor is fast. I purchased this thru Vanns, and once again I am amazed, the service is incredible!!! I will buy from them again, no huge sales pitch and all the answers you need to base a purchase decision on. All in all a great experience!

Ok, bought the samsung 52 7series with ToC. A couple of things....First, the touch of color on the TV is barely noticebale. I read a lot of complaints on it but in my room I can only see it if I look for it. Second, the 750 and 850 are identical in picture quality. Unless the slim design is a big deal then save your cash. Third, the ethernet connection is kinda neat. I can see my fav stock quotes, current news, local weather all on screen when I turn it on. Fourth, the screen is a bit reflective if you have direct light in your room. At night, not an issue.

Best of all, the picture quality on this thing is great! Smooth motion, nice blacks, and plenty of config options. Easy plug and play too! This one is a no brainer!

This Samsung ln52a750 is the most unbelievable Tv I have ever seen. The quality is breathtaking. Even on regular non-HD stations its very good. But HD is over the top. Easy set up and great remote. Many reviewers complained about the remote...either theyre not too smart or they had to complain about something, because I cant find anything I dislike. The ONLY thing that is better than the tv was the online store I purchased from. They are the best online store I have ever dealt with. What should have taken 4 days shipping took 2 days... Great Job Vanns, Im a loyal customer in the future.

Ive had this tv for over three weeks. It simply is the best. The sound is great, the picture is the best. The picture is so good that its like looking out a very clean window. This is in my opinion the best big screen HDTV in its class. Excellent color and light range. This set outperforms the set it replaced, a 42 inch widescreen CRT based rear projection unit. Black levels are top notch and on par with Plasma. Refresh rate is very fast and clean. No ghosting. Even light distribution from edge to edge. The video enhancements really make movies come alive. No more jittery pictures when the camera pans. More input options than most would ever need. Reviews are glowing where ever I searched on the internet so I know my experience is not unique. It is pricey, but you do get what you pay for and more. I highly recommend this unit.
