Add to this the crisp details, outstanding contrast, eye popping colors, and dramatically reduced digital artifacts that DRC-MF circuitry is known for. This new feature is ideal for watching high speed chase scenes on your new KDL46XBR5. Motionflow bans blur and intensifies the chase scene by sharpening the images and colors. Motionflow detects the incoming video signal and applies the appropriate processing for optimum motion reproduction. Taking full advantage of film sourced 24fps encoded content available on DVD and Blu-ray Disc, Motionflow eliminates the need for 3:2 pulldown and delivers smooth, judder free video, faithfully preserving the integrity of the original film. When 60fps content is detected, Motionflow doubles the amount of frames and uses real-time calculation to create a new level of natural motion reproduction. You'll experience your favorite chase scene the way the movie producers intended it.

Live Color Creation

Sony's KDL46XBR5 not only pushes resolution to the limits but also brings color reproduction to new heights. Live Color Creation achieves more precise and wider color reproduction using a combination of advanced chroma signal processing algorithms along with Sony's WCG-CCFL (Wide Color Gamut Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp). The results have to be seen to be believed. Clearer blues, more natural and broader range of greens — vibrant colors throughout any scene.

High Contrast Ratio

Sony uses a dynamic backlighting system called ACE (Advanced Contrast Enhancement) on BRAVIA TVs. ACE automatically senses the APL (Average Picture Level) of the video signal and adjusts the intensity of the backlight for improved contrast. VESA test and measurement methods are applied yielding a contrast ratio of 18,000:1. This number represents the widest possible ratio between black and white contrast levels. Sony also measures their BRAVIA televisions with a more stringent method that measures the amount of black and white levels that can appear on the screen at the same time. I was in the market for a LCD in which I did a ton of research so many choices, looked in retail stores, searched online, etc. Finally I was drawn to the XBR5 because the picture was simply beatiful and the look of the TV itself was clean. Purchased from Vanns because a friend did last year with outstanding results, and with prices you cant beat. Shipping was as expected, except the guy actually helped me carry it in. Setup for the TV was simple, and Im not a guru. Regular movies are great, HD with cable is amazing, I was afraid of watching sports but it was so clean and no blur. This TV is simply easy, and amazing.

I am very pleased with my KLD52XBR5. I did a lot of rersearch comparing the products out there and found the Sony Bravia to have everything you need for great high definition television. From the awesome picture, to the easy connections, and the beautiful glass and piano finish, the sony was the best choice to make. The 52 inch television is not too big and not too small, it is just the right size. I would highly recommend this tv to someone wanting a high quality lcd.

SONY HAS DONE IT AGAIN. WOW! WHAT A TV. WITH AN UNREAL PICTURE THAT JUMPS OUT AND PULLS YOU IN. HD 1080P AT 120HZ. WATCH NASCAR? HANG ON TO YOUR HAT YOU CAN ALMOST FELL THE WIND AND SMELL THE RUBBER. GREAT TV FOR FAST ACTION. PRICEY? YA, WORTH IT? YOU BET. BUY IT. I CHECKED LOTS OF PLACES FOR THE BEST DEAL.
