This TV has great picture. The sound leaves a little to be desired. We plan on getting a surround sound anyway. You need to know you have to buy an HDMI monster cable in order to use your HDTV and 3D picture quality. Otherwise we are very happy with our new TV.

Recently purchased the Samsung PN51D550 for my In-Laws family room and they are in Plasma heaven. My Father In Law and Brother In Law getting older needed a bigger screen having said that they are so impressed with how vivid and true to life the picture is and the colors are. Being elderly my In-Laws were amazed on how so plug in, turn on and play simple and easy the TV was to set-up once out of the box. And when youre not electronic techy savvy thats real important. They love their new plasma and know they would highly recommend it to be on your check it out list for the picture quality, colors, features and overall value for a 50 1080 Plasma TV.

The TV shows exceptional picture quality and was easy to setup. Its nice that the bezel is thinner than other TVs giving an additional size to the screen. The remote is intuitive and the saturation of the blacks is very good. No real motion blurring detected, even with high speed action sequences. Hopefully Samsung has upgraded the capacitors on the power supply boards so it wont fail as quickly as my last Samsung.

The setup was quick and easy with well explained directions. The picture quality is stunning. It replaced a 42 Phillips plasma that died after 5 years and the picture is far superior, even though the main boards both appear to be Samsung. Much better for motion sequences. The only complaint I have is that while it is internet ready, it does not have an adapter separate purchase and the USB wireless device I have does not work , although the preconfigured ethernet adapter does work. Once internet is up though it does not allow access to Netflix or other services, only media on your home network. Somewhat unclear in the description.

This TV is by far one of the best I have had a privilege to bestow my eyes upon. 51 inches of heaven to be honest. The best part is the movies and the 3D. When you just watch cable you cant really appreciate the sharpness and great color, but buy a movie and the picture really jumps at you. I bought this tv after a few weeks of research and comparison and believe for the price it is a steal. Enjoy it!

I have had this TV for a little over a week. Each day the colors appear to be more vibrant and the picture is sharp and clear. I have watched Blu-ray and Direct TV sourced material and the picture is astounding. Easy to follow menu, remote control has a nice natural feel when held. I cant say enough good things so far about this TVpicture. Fifty one inches is a good overall size, prior to this I had a DLP 40. Purchasing through Vann’s has been a great experience!

Excellent high resolution, good deep colors, lighter than LCD TVs. Beautiful HD movies from Dish Network. Sound is OK but a home theater system will add much to the big screen. Have not checked the 3D system yet. Received in 4 days of order from Vanns with free shipping and delivery to the garage. It was light enough for me to remove it from the box and set it up by myself. I have ordered a compact camera and now a large 3D plasma TV from Vanns with complete satisfaction. I definitely recommend Vanns and will buy from them again in the future.
