Your pride, other's prejudice
It is a truth universally acknowledge, that everyone in possession of a taste for movies, TV shows, and games must be in want of a great television. It's a good thing that there are televisions like the LG 60PV450 that combine a slim, 2" panel with incredible picture quality. The PV450 boasts deep contrast and vivid color, making sure that your favorite shows appear clear and lifelike, while its 600Hz subfield drive makes sure every frame is sharp (even during fast action) by analyzing each of the 60 frames-per-second ten times. The built-in Intelligent Sensor detects light levels in the room, so that your picture stays focused and colorful whether it's high noon and time for the game, or later in the evening when you're settling down for movie night (oh, and it saves energy, which saves you money).

This plasma panel was an upgrade in size from a Panasonic TH50PZ750U plasma. The thin bezel on this panel is nice and enabled it to fit in essentially the same footprint of the panel it replaced. The stand is OK for an all-plastic variety but I have the panel wall mounted. Hookup was easy via HDMI from my AVR. The panel is essentially a monitor so all sound is processed through my AVR and surround system. I broke in the panel for 100 hrs by playing various 169 content via BD or cable. After break-in, the picture quality is pretty good. I did not have the set professionally calibrated though I did setup the Expert2 mode with settings published for this model created by a calibrator. However, it cant produce black as well as my previous panel. I dont notice this much during viewing until an all black screen appears then it is obvious. Also, the panel is very prone to image retention. The retained images are easy to remove via the colorwhite wash feature but I feel I shouldnt have to whitewash the screen after every BD movie. This is very different from my previous panel. I took a chance on buying a lower end plasma panel. I think I will spend more, on a different brand, next time.

I ordered, received and installed within one week. The price was the lowest I could find by a long shot with an additional savings of 10 AZ sales tax with delivery and unpacking into my media room. The best picture I have seen yet seen on a flat screen. I followed this with another order,

I bought this TV about a week ago and was a little depressed when I hooked it up to my provider because I had yet to call an order my HD, the picture was good, but not great. I called the next morning, ordered the HD, flipped on ESPN and was absolutley dazzled. The picture is crisp, clear, vibrant, and just looks uttlerly amazing. I am not a big 3D fan, so the basic model was more than enough for me, and for the price, the value is amazing. Regarding glare, I have read prior reviews that this is a problem with LG tvs, I have mine in a basment with windowsa quite a bit of light, so i was worried, but much to my delight ,the is glare is very minimal. As far as the menu and adjustments they are both very easy to use, I just keep the itelligent sensor on most of the time and it provides a very accurate picture, sometimes a tad too dark, but usually its right on. Sound is also decent from what I can remeber for the first night, but I have soundbar hooked up so I havent experiences too much on that. BUY THIS TV, you will LOVE IT!
