Excellent TV at a phenomenal price. Picked up this tv over the holidays and got a great price through VANNs. Picture quality is great, not any better than last years 8000 series tv, but still fantastic. Would definitely buy again from Vanns.

After researching for several months seeking a replacement for my 12 year old Sony 36 Flat Screen tube television I decided that a 60-65 screen would be the perfect size. So I looked into the LCD, LEDLCD, LaserVue, DLP & Plasma sets in this size range to determine the best type of TV. In every showroom I visited I preferred the picture, features & prices of the plasma TVs over the alternative formats. Once I chose the Plasma format the decision was easy. Vanns had a killer deal on the PN64D8000 Samsung Plasma, my top choice of three TVs I had narrowed it down to. I must say the TV is spectacular, simple to setup,has a stunning picture & it is an attractive piece of equipment even when turned off. I waited several years to upgrade & wanted to be certain to make the best choice for, and for my family the PN64D8000 Samsung is absolutely perfect.

I did my research before ending up purchasing this tv. I even went to stores to compare this particular model with other plasmas and LED tvs. This tv blows away the other tvs whether it be other plasmas or LEDs. Samsung did an excellent job on improving their Plasma panels specially on their high end 8000 series. I dont see any signs of IR image retentions or burn-in compared to my other 3 year old plasma tv. The picture quality is excellent compared to LEDs soap opera effect. This tv gives you the best cinema like picture quality. The sound is pretty good for such a thin panel but I dont really care for that because I do have a full 7.2 surround sound setup. I highly recommend investing in a good sound system to match this tv. You will love the 3D picture quality this tv displays. I gave it a 4 star overall score because of the slow response of the smart hub and the lack of backlighting for the remote controls qwerty keyboard. Also, I detect a small buzzing sound but I think all Plasmas has this behavior. Youll only hear it if you put your ear close enough to the panel. Overall, its still a great tv with outstanding picture quality.

Great TV looks bigger than the size, which is already 64 great HD picture and easy to use controls. Sound is decent and the internet apps were a breeze to set up. The Blue Ray is incredible, the picture is awsome and the TV is next to sliding glass doors and I also have two sky lights in the living room but no problem I enjoyed the British Open I could count the hairs on the golfers head and see the blades of grass as the bees landed... HA GREAT! I wish I had another one in my bedroom.. I just need a sound bar..

This is my second experience with Vann’s and even better than the first. I started to buy online, but had questions. After some discussion with customer service they realized I needed help, and switched me to Ryan in sales. He walked me through everything I needed to know, and even helped me select a reasonably priced wall mount for this BIG TV. This is my second Samsung, and I thought my 50 inch plasma was good. This TV is beyond amazing, 3d and Blu-ray are incredible. Unfortunately cable can’t do justice to what this TV can do, but Blu-ray can WOW!. Like my other Samsung glare during the day is NOT a problem. The view is incredible at any angle. I highly recommend this TV.

This TV came with great picture and sound quality. It is far better than Sony and other brands I looked at. I considered Sharp 70 for my big family-room but decided on this one after months of shopping and reviewing. I put it up on the wall it looks very stylish and roomy, still a bit small for my family-room. My kids loved to play 3D PS3 games on it, and accessing to internets like yahoo, facebook, youtube are very easy. You can't go wrong with this TV. I just have so still playing with it.

This tv is amazing! 3d and blu-ray are incredible, by far better than any theater ive been to. We were worried about to much light in the room because a salesman from a different store said we would need a led-lcd to combat large windows in room. Wrong it puts of so much light and we are on the settings it is set up for. We highly recommend this tv if you have the room for it. Our room is approx 18x18 . The view is incredible at any angle and would recommend sitting atleast 6 away to get full tv experience.

I had been in the market for a 3D 6465 display for a year now and finally decided on the Samsung plasma product. To-date, it has performed to and beyond expectation. Very easy to set up and use and the picture quality and 3D performance has been superb. I have a very high-end home theater setup and this display perfectly compliments the experience I am confident that I will not be in the market again for at least 5-years. Spend the money now and enjoy! One caveat, my first order arrived damaged, screen glass was cracked, spider-webbed. Displays this big can be tricky to ship. Vanns return process was good, as expected, worth the risk for the price point and no sales tax.

Great TV, and the apps and web browser are neat-wish there was a bigger wireless keyboard to go with it though. It was much cheaper than the comparable LED which has not even been released yet. The only other 2 cons are the glare that the screen has during the daytime in my well lit family room, and the heat that it gives off. Very happy with it overall.

Best TV Ive ever had.
The PN64D8000 Plasma is simply Amazing! Id recommend it to anyone! Its beter than any LEDLCD TV out there that I have looked at.. This TV has vibrant colors and detail.
3D looks amazing! Way better then other models thnat I have looked at.
The setup was super easy, open the box attach the standor put it on the wall, plug it in etc. HDMI ports were very access-able easy to reach and nicely labeled. The 3D was very easy to setup as well, just put in the batteries to the glasses press the power button and your ready to go.
The only thing I had trouble with initially with was parrying the QWERTY Remote with the TV .It took a little but I got it working
Bottom line, get this TV your not going to find a better TV out there.

We just took delivery of our Plasma set last night as we were getting the whole house switched over to FIOS. All I can say is WOW. What a picture. Plus the VAnns customer service folks were awesome to work with. They found this TV for us and had it delivered as promised. The deliver was smooth and even the carton was in great shape. I look forward to placing my next order with Vanns. Now back to the TV. Since I am just getting used to the remote I will have a follow-up review. The picture is crystal clear, and the black color is the deepest I have ever seen so far. Better then my Pioneer PDP and now we have internet on the screen as well. Samsung did a wonderful job on this set and Vanns also did a great job selling and delivering to our home.
