The concept of the two tuner, high definition capable, with digital video recorder all in one unit is a great one. Unfortunately Dish Network released this unit prematurely. I bough the unit for it HD capabilities even though I feel the price was way too high. The unit has a lot of bugs that have to be addressed on installation. Several of them can not be resolved unit Dish creates fixes and include them in future software upgrades. I am quite techno savvy and still had to make several long calls to dish to get this unit running. While it is easy to use once set up it is difficult to get up and running. I have had the unit over a week and have yet to view an HD broadcast due to resolution issues. I also had to purchase over $300.00 in extra switches and LNBS to get my system to operate with this unit. This will be a good unit when the price drops and the bugs are worked out. If I had it to do over I would not buy this unit yet! Wait a while to purchase this one!

The best receiver money can buy. It not only receives HD broadcasts, it can record them too. It has two tuners so you can watch TV while taping another show. It has the Tivo like features so you can pause live TV. It's super easy to select programs to watch, select programs to record, and skip commercials. What more can you ask for? Sorry, it only works with DishNetwork.
