You put the twist on this kart racing game for the Xbox 360 and Kinect by steering, boosting, flipping, and posing your way to victory. Not your average racing game, Joy Ride and the Kinect system allows you to drop the controller to use your hands and body to control one of any number of fun and colorful vehicles through multiple courses and five different, fun game modes. With race mode, you compete against your opponents (either computer controlled, or your friends playing with you there, or on Xbox Live) on the track, boosting, turning and drifting your way to victory. Battle mode takes it up a notch by adding interesting power ups and weapons to create obstacles for your opponents. In Stunt mode, you get a chance to really show your stuff by boosting your car on the half-pipe and leaning and twisting to pull off amazing moves. Take a ride on the wild side in Smash mode by seeing how many obstacles you can smash through, or show off your need for speed in Dash mode. Trick mode takes you out of the car, and challenges you to move and pose in absurd ways against an opponent. If you’ve got fun in mind the next time you and friends get together, maybe it’s time to take Joy Ride for a spin.
