If you like to have your favorite movies and music with you when you hit the road, you may want to make the DP885 portable DVD player your travel companion. It features a bright 8.5" screen the flips and swivels to give you a great viewing angle, even if you set it beside you. And it plays a variety of discs, including DVD video, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, audio CD, and CD-R/RW, so you can enjoy music as well as movies. The DP885 even plays CD-R discs loaded up with your favorite WMA music files or JPEG still photos. A USB input means the DP885 is a media host, letting you experience your digital music, photos, and videos wherever you may be.

Navigating down the road

Just because the DP885 is a little player doesn't mean it's short on playback options. You can program up to 30 tracks for a specialized playlist, and even enjoy a JPEG slideshow of your favorite pictures, along with an MP3 or WMA soundtrack. You can search, skip, and play in slow motion (forward and reverse), and enjoy repeat, random, or program play. Auto power off means the 3-hour battery won't run down if you forget to turn the player off after the movie has ended.

It packs its own suitcase

Since you're most likely to use the DP885 when you're traveling, you'll be happy to know that it comes with its own travel accessories. A mini remote control lets you run the show, while an automotive adaptor powers the DP885 as you power down the road. There's a cleaning cloth for wiping those drive-thru french fry finger prints off the screen, and a protective carrying pouch gives you some peace of mind as you hand your luggage off at the airport.
