Easy set up and wifi was simple to set up. I have bought Sony products for years with gear success. This item is no exception. As other reviews indicate, the alpha keypad is lacking, but the good side that it is not often used. I would buy again.

I just got this on December 7th and I thinks it great.I have a Samsung Blu-eray bdp4600 I purchased new two years ago, that works good except this model has firmware issues.Wont play dvds only Blu-eray Dvds.But it connects to internet wireless very will.But so far the Sony BDP-S780 connects better and faster.And lots of free music and movies And It works really great with my new Samsung plasma 43 PN43D440 TV.I did lots of research and for the price Vanns was the very best deal.The shipping was great and fast.Not bad ships free.I hope to get more great deals from Vanns as time goes on Thanks Richard

The BDP-S780 was very easy to set up and connect to my home audio system. A major plus was that after owning several DVD players, this one was the fastest I have owned in terms of time required from turning the machine on to seeing the movie. The resolution is excellent, anywhere from old black and white classics through blu-ray discs. Connecting to the internet was automatic wired, and I greatly appreciate the periodic firmware updates.

Nothing of major concern. I have not tried the downloadstreaming as of yet, or the 3D capability. But the latter does give me capacity for future benefits.

I would recommend this player, based upon the ease of set-up and the excellent resolution.

The BD player was very easy to set up. I did it wo referring to the instruction book. The picture quality is excellent. I bought this unit because it was wireless. Unfortunately, the unit is located in my den which is 3 rooms away from my wireless-N router and the kitchen is one of those rooms. So I had to run a Ethernet cable to the unit. All is good now - not one complaint.

I have owned this bdp-s780 for a month now.I have nothing to complaint about it.The picture quality is PERFECT and sound as well.The WI-FI works alot better than the previous top model bdp-s770 that I have also owned so far I have no problem with wi-fi connection and I love the skype feature I use it to talk to my relative back in Vietnam.If you are looking for a 3d blu ray player now I highly recommend it.
