Very pleased with this unit. I have been researching Blu-Ray players for months now and couldnt resist when Vanns had one of these.
The player has performed flawlessly thus far after watching 5 blu-ray, 4 dvd, and 2 cds. Regular dvd upconversion is awesome. I havent even done a firmware update on the player yet. I dont have a 1080p monitor, so I have been enjoying movies in 720p- more resolution than 1080i and without the motion artifacts of interlaced. I cannot comment on how the 1080p looks.
I previously owned the first generation HD-DVD player by Toshiba and returned it two weeks later due to the slow performance and lag time of controls. So far, this Samsung is almost as quick as my regular dvd players. This player has every feature that is available for a blu-ray player- and at a steal of a price. |

I could not be more pleased with this purchase. The video quality is definitley a step up from an HD-upconversion DVD player. I have noticed a slight flutter occasionally, but that may fixable if I play with the settings.
The real quantum leap was with the sound. Even on my old RCA Dolby Digital reciever, the uncompressed audio track is infinitely more clear than that of standard DVDs.
Originally, I was shipped the wrong item but the greatest woman in Montana, Brandi in mis-shipped items, qickly remedied this situation and shipped the correct item free of charge. |

Beautiful color and resolution movies. DTS DVD-Audio sounds much better than Dolby Digital. Movies sound awesome, too. I just hope Blu-Ray doesnt disappear next year replaced by some new format. |
