"Skype me"
Skype has been one of the greatest innovations in tech in the past few decades. It allows you to keep in touch with friends and family across the street or across the globe through IM, telephone, or even video chatting. But until now it's had one major flaw: you have to be at your computer to use it. Panasonic's DMP-BDT110 is changing the story, though, as one of the first Blu-ray players with Skype compatibility. With a separately-purchased compatible camera, you can videochat with those near to your heart from the comfort of your couch — even if they're nowhere near you geographically. A special button on the remote gives you quick access to the Skype menu and incoming ringtones alert you when someone's calling (unless you're watching a Blu-ray). For the times when you're not there, you can record a message on an SD card (sold separately) to greet callers, and they can record a video voice mail on the same card. Having Skype in your home theater may just be the most convenient, comfortable way to keep in touch. One note, though: Depending on your use of Skype, some charges may apply.
An entertainment cornucopia
You'd expect a Blu-ray player to play the Full HD 1080p video and uncompressed audio found on the latest Blu-ray discs, and the Panasonic DMP-BDT110 does. But it also does a whole lot more. For starters, it's 3D capable, so if you have a 3D setup at home, the T110 will let you serve up larger-than life 3D effects. But this device has an advantage over other 3D players: control. Maybe you prefer enhanced depth to gimmicky, pop-out-of-the-screen effects. Well, with the 3D Effect Controller, you can set up your player to provide just that. Better still, 2D to 3D Conversion lets you upgrade your DVDs and 2D Blu-ray discs to artifical 3D. While artificial 3D isn't quite as amazing as its native cousin, it's still incredibly cool to enjoy just about any movie you want in 3D. If you move beyond the discs, the DMP-BT110 has a whole lot more entertainment to offer. With a separately-purchased wireless adapter, this player offers a plethora of additional entertainment options. It's DLNA-compliant, so it can access media from other DLNA devices on your home network, meaning that it can play music, videos, or photos from a lot of computers on the big screen. Of course, you could also play back your personal media using one of the two USB ports or the SD slot. Better still, it's equipped with VIERA CAST, offering you access to content from tons of top providers including Netflix, Vudu, YouTube, Pandora, Picasa, Twitter, Amazon VOD, CinemaNow, Bloomberg, and Fox Sports. Note: some services require additional fees. Put it all together and you've almost got more media than you can handle!

This Blu ray is great. Works well with My GT30 that I got at the same time. Fast loading and very easy to use. Also very cool design. Was looking at higher priced models but consultant was gret and helped me and the value and clarity on this is perfect as I didnt need the extra stuff the higher end modles came with as my TV had them already. Great value and a lot of bang for your buck.

This is a good product but it is not WIFI ready. You will need to spend another $50-70$ for an adapter. It is better to buy the next level up product which is only $20 more.

Panasonic did it right. This player is fast and very capable. The interface isnt as polished as some, but the overall package is is the best on the market. Lightning fast load times, even on challenging discs. I had last years top of the line Sony 3d bluray player and it wouldnt play the new Rio movie. The Samsung bd6500 took almost 2 minutes to load it and it was stuttering when it finally got to the movie. This player didnt even hesitate. With the new addition of hulu plus, this player has it all. It may, however be worth it for you to spend a little more and get the 210 for the added wifi card. Either way, you cant go wrong with panasonic new 2011 models and you definately cant go wrong with vanns, they are the best!

Nice unit over all. Some what slower on some applications. Pop- out control can be used where its noticeable in some content. Would like to have some type of incentive to purchase the web-cam for this unit at loyalty discount from panny.

This player has great internet services and seems to do very well on discs of all types. The interface is pretty slick, though its a little bit slow and I haven't figured the networking thing out yet. Additionally its picky about what sort of media storage you plug into it - only an sd can be used for bd-live feature storage, not the usb. However I have been wanting to hook up a computer to my tv for years but could never to my satisfaction resolve the interface issues. This does everything I wanted a media computer to do for a tenth the price. It has an optical audio out, which was the deciding factor for me, allowing it to interface with my older surround reciever. When you consider the price tag I really can't complain about anything, love it.

This came free with my tv, so that should be taken into account in this review. I watched Avatar in regular cd recently, and it looked great. It is wi-fi capable, but so is my tv, so I haven't yet figured out whether it offers other widgets and services beyond what I already have through my Panasonic Tv. My only nit pick is that for playing cds, I have to have my tv on. There is probably a way around this, but I haven't figured it out yet, and that seems like a colossal waste of energy. Soo, for now, I'm still feel the need to have a separate cd player for music.

I replaced the excruciatingly slow loading Panasonic BD-35, with the DMP-BDT110. Got the last open box clearance unit well below regular retail, delivered. The player was perfect as described, delivered free and fast with no sales tax as usual with Vanns.
The 110 loads 10 times faster, plays perfectly and has a much more friendly interface. The dimensions of the unit are the same width as the 35, but much shorter front to back. The entire front panel opens, unlike the 35 that only opened the drawer, which I prefered. The remote is smaller and more efficiant. I have not used the Virera Cast streaming features yet, and do not plan on using the 3-D untill no glasses technology arrives.
The play back picture on Blu-ray is flawless in conjunction with my 42 Panasonic LCD . I am very pleased with this unit. The only cons I have on the 110 is no wireless and the entire front panel opens to insert and remove the disc, thus 4 stars. I was aware the 110 was not wireless ready, but Vanns made me an offer I could not refuse.
If you must have streaming with easy hook up and no wires, get the wireless ready 210.
