Great pictures on the go
Remember that time you were camping, and you thought you saw a bear, but it turned out to be a tree stump? And now your friends like to give you a hard time about seeing imaginary wildlife? You could probably defend yourself a lot better if you had a picture of that very bear-shaped tree. Maybe you should get the Sony DSCWX9 16.2 megapixel digital camera and head back to the campground. Trust the BIONZ image processor and the 1/2.3" Exmor R CMOS sensor to capture sharp, detailed images even in low light. You could even use the 3D Sweep Panorama mode to take a really life-like shot of the full surroundings. Or just take an HD video (1080i) to play back on your HDTV via the HDMI output. If you don't want to get that close, you don't have to. The 5x optical zoom will bring you up close and personal while the optical image stabilization will detect even minute camera shake and automatically shift the lens to prevent blur without sacrificing image quality. Then, when you bring the evidence back to your friends, the Face Detection technology in the DSCWX9 will recognize that you're capturing images of people and adjust flash, focus, exposure, and white balance to make sure the pictures of your friends apologizing are crisp and properly lit. Yes, the DSCWX9 has all the features you need to get sharp, detailed pictures. Plus, it's small enough to fit easily in a pocket, so on your next camping trip, you're prepared to get photographic evidence of your friends running from a very mountain lion-shaped rock.

I got a Nikon S205 for Christmas last year. It was my first Nikon product, so I thought for sure I was getting something that was going produce some awesome pictures. Nikon has been synonymous with top-of-the-line cameras and I know they make good products, but I was disappointed in the S205. It didnt meet my expectations, so I wanted to replace it and began a vigilant search and review of a point and shoot that would give me results that would match my DSLR photos. I settled on the Sony Cybershot DSC-WX9. It is a fantastic camera that does what some of the DSLR cameras do but more efficiently and at a very affordable price. The pictures are sharp and clear and each feature of this camera performs well beyond expectations for such a little tike. Ive always been a fan of SONY products and this camera lives up to the quality and performance expected. Since Im serious about my ametuer photography, the HDR multi-shot layering feature provides a simpler set up than my DSLR and the pictures are just as stunning! I love the wide angle lens and the HD 1080 video recording which I dont have with my DSLR, which will make the up coming holiday memories vivid beyond our past experiences and the video is crisp and clear even on larger flat screen TVs. The features this camera brings open yet another door to the unlimited potential of creative photography and art. It is truly an aim and shoot and let the camera do its magic! The bells and whistles are relevant for anyone that doesnt want to think about programming their DSLR, and it makes you look like a pretty good photographer. Take the Superior Auto Mode feature, for instance, I literally dont have to tweak my photos through my photo software. Its like taking perfect pictures everytime. Everything you need is in the box except the memory card. Some of the additional accessories you can get using the Transfer Jet Technolgoy, allows you to send your photos wirelessly. I look fowward to pushing the limits of this camera and know that it will meet my expectations. Ill have to get out my duster to show a little love to my DSLR from time to time.

This was a great deal on a wonderful product. I had tested it out at Best Buy but found the price better here on Vanns. THe image quality is amazing, as long as you have the right memory card. I have not stopped snapping photos since I got this item and will continue for a long long time.
