As of August 2011, Sony's NEX-5NK is the world's smallest interchangeable lens camera. This 16.1MP digital camera with an 18-55 mm lens shoots high definition 1080/60p or 24p movies in industry-standard high-quality AVCHD codec and captures 3D, panaromic, portrait, or backlit pictures as fast as 10 frames per second on burst mode. Your pictures and videos have the benefit of a 3" tiltable, LCD touch-screen so that your human eye can see the world through the camera's eye. Not to mention, the object-tracking AF option can lock onto a specified object on your LCD screen. The auto options allow for face detection of up to 8 people, skin softening of wrinkles and blemishes, smile shutter that automatically waits to take when a subject smiles, and 3D sweep panorama for dimensional trip captures. The NEX-5NK claims the world's shortest shutter release time, which is the time from when you press the shutter button and the camera takes a picture. By initiating the exposure electronically instead of with the traditional shutter mechanism, release time on the NEX-5NK reduces to only 20 milliseconds or .02 seconds! An especially unique feature of the NEX-5NB is its ability to take 6 pictures of the same subject and then combine all 6 to render the most true-to-life image. This layering method is also used to control blur in anti-motion blur mode or to get cleaner, sharper nighttime pictures in hand-held twilight mode. Great product, a little pricey, great looks, better pictures, hd recorder. A huge step forward for point-and-shoot users. No need to be photo expert to handle, the best alternative to a DSLR. User interface could be improved, but nice help and tutorials for people learning the basics of good photography. As for the pictures, it has a great resolution and pictures surely looks greats. Besides, nice features like panoramic photos and color filters. I feel great with this buy, in spite of being on the market for a little less expensive camera. Recommended.
