Fortunate photography
Taking great pictures is all about options and opportunity. While you can't control too much about opportunity, options are something you can easily plan for. Take, for example, the Sony DSCTX100 Cybershot digital camera: it's an ultra-thin camera that's easy to carry around, has an incredible 16.2-megapixel resolution, and has easy shooting with autofocus and face detection. That's a lot of options in one small package. Of course, that's not even taking into account the fun side of the camera — you can take 3D still images that can be viewed in all their glory on your 3D HDTV, two types of incredible panoramas, and even has the ability to defocus the background when taking a picture of a subject (something you don't normally see with compact digital cameras). So plan for what you can with the DSCTX100; because, after all, opportunity favors the prepared.

The Sony TX100V’s focus is accurate and sharp in 9 out 10 pictures. Focusing speed is very fast in good light, and about average speed in poor lighting. Colors seem bright and very natural. The in-camera lens distortion correction is very good. The pictures when viewed at close study show some over-processing that smears certain areas. The touchscreen is not without issues. There is a large sensitivity difference between the screen buttons, some you can activate just by hold your finger over the button without touching and other buttons require a swipe, press, again and again before it works. The flash has a very good range and a fairly quick recharge time. I have tried the GPS feature a couple of times and I am not impressed. It was very slow to acquire satellite lock and log your location. Battery life was very short, compared to all my other digital cameras [I recommend spares]. The Sony TX100V and its compact size allow it to be carried in any pocket, always handy.
