The HDMI interface on the DAVDX375 provides a one-cable connection for digital audio and video. It helps eliminate a pile of unsightly wires while delivering the highest quality signal transfer available. The HDMI output also offers 720p/1080i upscaling of DVD media. The DAVDX375 reads the data on a standard DVD at 480p and maximizes the video resolution to best fit your HDMI-compatible TV. Speakers Make The Package

Sony's speaker packages, such as the 5.1 system that is an integral part of the DAVDX375, are designed using precision crossover assemblies to ensure that all speakers blend and recreate a seamless soundstage. Today's discrete digital surround formats are able to reproduce the same sound throughout every speaker. If a variance in speaker drivers, crossover settings, or driver material occurs from one speaker to the next, the pitch and surround illusion can suffer. Sony speakers are designed using matching driver compliments and crossovers to ensure perfect blending.

Dynamics of Digital

Sony has included Dolby Digital, dts, and Dolby Pro Logic II decoding in this system so you have surround sound covered. Dolby Digital and DTS decoding will surround you with 5.1 separate channels of digital sound for sound quality that analog systems can't match. You are enveloped with completely separate channels for Left, Center, Right, Left Surround, Right Surround and the special ".1" channel just for bass.
