Sweet Speakers

Of course the sound quality of any system depends heavily on the quality of the speakers. The speakers included with the CS720 stereo shelf system use a two way design consisting of 1/2 inch soft dome tweeter for accurate high end performance 5 1/8" woofers round out the lower end of the dynamic range. Working together the woofer and tweeter are able to produce a frequency response of 50Hz to 35kHz. The cabinets use a bass reflex design to maximize audio output, producing surprisingly large sound. An attractive black finish fit in nicely with your decor without attracting too much attention.

The size can be deceptive. its only a single CD player not a changer and I think that the savings of not having the changer was invested in the sound! Quality of sound is great! Cant stop listening to it. I would recommend this to anyone looking for excellent sound and could be content with a single disc player.

The stereo was easy to set up and is very user-friendly. I am very happy with the sound quality. Im used to a larger system, but I must say the range of the sound quality is excellent. Its better than a more expensive Bose system. And the customer service at Vanns is the best Ive ever had!

While moving from MN to WI I had my storage unit broken into and they took , among many things, my Onkyo stereo. I loved it so much that I ended up buying the next model up. I love it just as much as my previous one. The only downfall that I found is that the remote is quite large. Sound quality is wonderful, DVD player works wonderful, and it fits perfectly into small spaces.

Purchased this system for bedroom,wanted unit with great sound as I listen to XM radio in evenings almost every night. System is great,sound features,especially XM built in. Enables me to use the remote control from my bed.. The system is perfect for small room.

The unit sent to me by Vanns is the DR-UN7, with essentially identical specs and picture. Be that as it may, I am more than satisfied. Have played CDs, SACDs, classical music DVDs--everything plays as advertised. It has a direct mode to bypass sound shaping. I listen only to classical music. Just returned from China where I used NAD and a Panasonic DVD player for music. My speakers have yet to arrive, but this sounds just great in a small living room. Have not owned Onkyo for 20 years had few choices for this type of equipment. My opinion of Onkyo has risen dramatically. Made in Malaysia what do you expect for less than 400USD?, the quality seems very high indeed. Remote interface is not thought out too well, but this is minor gripe. Just perfect mated to a Samsung 23 in LCD. Hope it can drive my old Epos 11s! Also, Vanns got it to me in less than a week on free delivery--my kind of service. Caveat I've owned the Onkyo only a few days so pleased I felt I had to write this.
