The HDMI input with PCM Multi-Channel Audio captures every note. HDMI input for set-top box, game system or 5.1 channel camcorder recreates them in full surround sound. Enhancing the audio ambiance, Auto Sound Calibration (ASC) balances the output from each speaker for optimal sound reproduction in any room. And thanks to front and center speaker cones made with "green" high-density, bio kelp fibers, all types of music are delivered with clearer sound and less distortion for high quality performance. It also comes with a rear wireless speaker module which eliminates the need to run wires from the front to the back of the room.
Multi-format and iPod compatibility

It's that easy — and enjoyable! It's hard enough deciding what you want to play; you shouldn't have to worry about whether you can play it. The Samsung HTZ520 home theater system accepts DVD, DVD+/-R, and DRD+/-RW media, along with CD, CD-R, and CD-RW discs. You can also watch videos, listen to music, and view photos in a wide variety of formats, including MP3, JPEG, WMA, and DivX.
Upscaling DVD player
Breathe new life into those old DVDs: 1080p up-conversion takes full advantage of your HDTV by interpolating the resolution of your regular DVDs to full high definition. And you can send that signal from the DVD player, through your receiver and into your HDTV with just one connection: HDMI. First, the Samsung HT set up fast and immediately connected with my Samsung plasma through the Anynet service. Connections were easy though I had a slight problem getting my TV picture through HDMI connection. Customer service was helpful but I solved the probelm on my own. All is good... Remote is a bit complicated but I supposed I should read the manual! Sound is awesome for a small unit in a large family room. Not, theatre awesome, but you KNOW you have 5.1 SS. Very cool. Cannot beat the price either. Second, Vanns service is EXCELLENT. From the moment the order was placed, tracking number provided and SPEED of delivery...all went flawlessly. I will DEFINITELY look to Vanns first if I need to make another purchase.

This is my first home theater system and I purchased it to go with my Samsung 62 HDTV. The sound quality is excellent. My only concern so far is that the remote control has so many buttons.

The Samsung Home Theater is working the way I wanted it to work. The instructions to install it were a little complicated. I have a samsung 46in. 8000 TV. The speakers are on the back of the TV. The sound from the rear speakers bounce off the wall. This is why I wanted the Home Theater System.
I enjoyed doing business with Vanns and your sales people.

Ive had the Samsung HTZ520 up and operational x 2 weeks now. Very easy setup especially with the wireless rear speakers which are sound synced perfectly right out of the box. One important note, I found that the rear speakers need to be put on volume 6 and leave the rest of the speakers at 0 easiest to use the sound edit button on the remote to get maximum sound distribution. ALSO set the mode setting to PL II when playing CDs or using the tuner radio to get the rears to turn on. They are Off in stereo mode.
I have this system in a 20 x 20 game room and it fills the room with crisp, clear sound. Not hooked up to flat screen so cant really comment on HDMI throughput. If youre on a tight budget, Id even consider this system for a primary Home Theater System as it has most of the whistles and bells of the larger systems at less than half the cost and the sound is great for the very small speakers included.

Decided to purchase this at the same time i bought my 55 Samsung tv also from Vanns and cant be happier. Unbelievable sound and communicates flawlessly with the tv! Would recommend the product as well as Vanns to anybody looking for a home theatre system!

Easy to use, great picture and great sound. We didnt think that small speakers could have such great surround sound. CDs, Dvds and tuner are all great and are compatible with our Samsung tv. A definite must buy!!
