We added a 37 LCD to our living room and didnt want a 5.1 system in that room due to space and appearance reasons. This system hides away well and works great for movies. We had a pretty high-end 5.1 system previously and although this system doesnt quite duplicate the spatial effects completely, it is perfectly fine for its intended purpose, and Im pretty picky.

I would strongly recommend Vanns to anyone wanting to make an Electronic purchase. Even though they are not as close mileage proximity wise to a Big-name Electronic Relailer, I thought I would take my chances considering the prices that they were offering the products at. Wow - was I ever pleasantly surprised by the entire process. My SC-PTX5 was here in about a weeks time and was a breeze to set-up and it is producing Superior sound qualities ! The next time I am in the market to purchase a piece of Electronics gear, my 1st stop will be Vanns for sure !!
